  1. Forget looking for berger bullets... Rocking horse poo would be easier too find.. 185gr juggs would be your best alround bullet but you won't find many if any..!! An ELDM's with there ballistic tip will serve you well.. Amaxs will too..
  2. Ashcroft has some 168gr Amaxs that will do you.. When I had a 308 I found them really accurate
  3. Work up and find out what you can get.. Back a few years ago I tried a viht load stated in there load data in my 6.5x47 with N540 and maybe 123gr amaxs and it was hot as and well exceeded the velocity shown.
  4. No I don't John i just replied too the advert.. He must of read the replies you'd think ðŸĪ” Ian didn't get any joy either..!! It is what it is..!!
  5. I too enquired but no replies.. We were the first to say we wanted these primers.. I double checked what I had so I didn't agree to buy the wrong thing..
  6. GM 215M's is what I'm using.. I'm sure I could buy you a drink also Tom but only if you'll stop the projectile vomiting ðŸĪĢ
  7. I'd take 1000 of the federal gold match magnum primers.. I see some Diggle shooters who could bring them too me at Bisley.. Tom Reynolds or Dave Raybold would be possibilities..
  8. I tried getting some new screws as one of the allumn keys rounded off.. The communication was fine but the screws never turned up 🙄
  9. Did you plug it into the bayonet and the unit ðŸĪ”. Not sure if that I'll make a difference just wondered 👍 Atb NID
  10. Dorset rifleman matches are mainly Sundays.. There's something every 2 weeks.. a practice day and 2 weeks later a comp. Gbfca league matches are Friday too Sunday mainly unless its the European championships.. Friday is a practice day or afternoon and Saturday and Sunday mornings is the main event.
  11. There's usually a training day held but I can't remember when it usually takes place. There's and F class club called the Dorset rifleman and that's about as competive as it gets. Every league match is tough.. Alot of the team gb f open and ftr shooters are members.. You'll certainly will be putting yourself too the test ðŸĪŠ. Several of our members come from your neck of the woods.
  12. I left my 6.5x47 with the muzzle brake on it after firing for a week or so.. When I took it off to clean the bore the edge of the crown where the muzzle thread is had gone rusty which has left it scarred.. Never had that before 🙄
  13. I've stored my 22 with the mod on and off and never had a problem. It about 20 years and looks like new.. I wouldn't store a centre fire with the mod on.
  14. There's plenty f class shooters on here who will have this info...
  15. There's plenty of good folk out there.. We all had too start somewhere and good advice is invaluable.. Its better too ask questions than make unnessasary mistakes..
  16. I've not had a tight neck too 12 thousandths.. My 284 is 14 The saum is 13.5 7mm 270 is 13.. It's probaly best to turn in 2 stages.. Do them all at 13.5 then down too 12.. Make small adjustments as when the screwdriver spins it will cut more off than you think.. Don't cut too far into the shoulder either because after several firing the necks will snap off.. Approx 20 thousandths.. This is the hardest bit to get right using the K&M turner.. I shot with somebody a couple of weeks ago that had a neck snap off in the chamber.. He said the brass had only done 3 firings so I think he cut in too far.. I have some 284 brass thats done 15/16 firings and the necks started snapping off so I scraped them.
  17. I started off neck turning my saum brass using the digital calipers too measure neckwall thickness.!! Just be fussy and measure a few times or as many times you want until your happy.... Just don't get the turner hot..!! I use the the spray lube in a case tray.. Fill up 2 holes where the cases go in and dip the necks in before turning with the case in the shell holder in the cordless screwdriver.. Just don't rush through a 100 cases. These days I have a sinclair neckwall thickness calipers.. They're just a tiny bit more accurate.. After using the sinclairs I thought I could of managed without them ok.. The calipers will be fine.
  18. Most would need to know the gap between the ears so to match with their but stock 👍
  19. I think you'll ride the storm with that lot 😊
  20. I've been tempted recently too try RS60 behind some 140gr hybrids to see if I can get good accuracy and it up to 2800fps out of my 24 inch barrel.. Current load of 41.5grs of RS62 is doing 2735fps on a warm day.
