  1. I can invisage the bigger the bullet bigger the meplat,Bergers are Gucci and a good wind call would be better, scenars are IMHO very good.
  2. The 300gr Bergers won't measure and weigh any better, the scenars may benefit from pointing as they have got a big meplat compared to the Bergers. The 285gr ELD's got the ballistic tip and they have the biggest BC but are they as consistant and the Bergers and scenars....? Probaly not and they would be that bit longer and may not fit the mag.
  3. Sorry it was at 55f not 52f but it would only show a few fps difference,it will do 2900fps on a hot day,if you want to run them at 3000fps 52.5 to 53grs of RS60 😆. Some are running on RS62 but I've not tried it myself though I have 3kg of it in stock I run my 6.5x47 on.i don't feel the need to try. N160 works too
  4. Hi Paul My 284 is 26 inch 1 in 8, I use lapua brass,BR2's, 57grs of N165 pushes a 162gr amaxs according to my bal cal at current temperature of 52f will be doing 2880fps and there very good 😁I've not tried the ELDX but the velocities will be similar,I hope that helps
  5. Yes 93grs was a great group but very similar at 94.5grs,you need all the velocity you can get from the 300gr scenars to get the best out of them for ELR ,the scenars are great bullets. Are you pointing them for the extra BC...? I'm not familiar with the 300 grainers only 6.5 and 7mm ones. How consistant do the measure and weigh, the ones I use are as consistant as anything else I've used. I have shot the 300gr scenars in a mates 338 lap mag.they were great out too 1800yds.
  6. It's definately worth trying the 94.5gr load again, that one shot to the left was more than likely you.
  7. Both my 7mm dies are FL bushing dies
  8. I would of liked too have looked in and checked out this new chassis but I am not going to make it now it seems.
  9. I think the brass that moves forward on every firing as it stretches and builds up at the neck/shoulder junction and when you resize it squashes it inwards and brass becomes thicker on the inside, what I don't understand it doesn't always do it. I neck turned all my 284 brass and most of it has been fired 10 times and not a single donut and I use 180gr scenar l's for target and 162gr amaxs for hunting, the scenars sit well in past the donut area as it was throated for the 180gr hybrids which also suits the 162gr amaxs. I've got donuts in some well used 7mm saum brass I inherited with the rifle, I guess the case prep was done exactly the same way, I think I even re-neck turned them once,I did have a 7mm inside neck reamer and sold it and my brass as never had donuts then I discovered some recently in these cases, still awaiting a new one I ordered from spud 2 months ago...
  10. What sort range can it go out too with good accuracy....?
  11. It may have been from Richard Uttings of Uttings guns,I would try one on my 22 rimfire if I could get one, there on eBay but they don't export them
  12. Always best done on a clean throat, ive noticed some bullets seemed to measure better more consistently,it's does take some practice to get the feel to master the technique
  13. How much does it weigh as it's shown in the pictures with the 8 external weights mounted assuming 4 are on the blind side...? It's looks very nice......
  14. Can you give me a measurement from the front side of the mag well to the end of the for end,I like the idea on the weights you can add or take away too. Is the bag rider adjustable for height...? Cheers No I deer
  15. My Saum has just gone for a rebarrel and the funds won't stretch that far, buying it if it was a 284 may have sorted something but rebarrelling it is too much expense
  16. It's a shame it not a 284 or a 7mm magnum.i would have been sorely tempted I can tell you 😛
  17. Bergers soon disappear off the shelves here too, depends where you live, plenty of stockists in the UK that probaly have the juggs in stock, the last shipment was about 2 months ago or so,the cost of the p&p oversees would be expensive, buy by the 1000s next time Michal, it does hurt the pocket though 🙄
  18. It's better known as the blind leading the blind
  19. The last 2 times I've shot at 1000yds with my 7mm saum there was 0.5 moa difference in elevation as the temperatures have climbed, same everything. I too use a vortex GE
  20. Looked on the play store.i will try the creedmoor thing. Cheers no I deer
