  1. The likely hood is the more expensive ammo will work best Richie.
  2. This was happening all through the winter. The gun still shot really nice. It's shot loads of groups like this
  3. I've been finding the same using eley match in CZ452.. There ment too be subsonic. The first shot always seems too be a cracker
  4. A bronze brush on a cordless screwdriver will keep the carbon clear in the neck area at the end of the case mouth clean
  5. I opted for the Lee trimmer system as its easy.. You could/I could trim too 2.030 if I wanted but my l e Wilson ultimate trimmer is set up for my 7mm 270 which I do trim 5 thousandths less off the max trim length. My saum has done about 1750 shots so far and still shooting nicely.. I'd be happy to make 2000 shots before I retire it.. Shooting the long-range challenge in a couple of weeks which reaches from 1000 out too 1200yds.. The 184s have served me well out that far
  6. I use a Lee 7mm 08 trimmer pilot and shell holder to trim too 2.025
  7. What bullet and speed are you running.. With a 180gr berger hybrid from a 30 inch barrel 3000fps would be a higher node.. A 184gr hybrids 2950fps is the velocity it likes.. It will hold good accuracy too about 3000fps but it's hard on brass and you get ejector marks
  8. Accuracy is the most important.. Go with the lowest ES/SD and adjust the seating depth to find the sweet spot.. Go 3 thousandths increments not to miss it. You can still get good accuracy from a 30fps ES.. The target will tell you what you need too know 👍
  9. The flags can lie as well as Elwood says see if they tell the truth.. The flags will tell you one thing and the mirage will tell you another. Sometimes there going in different directions 🤔😉
  10. I've not had a 308 since the ELDM's come out.. I can tell you that the 7mm 180gr eldms are very accurate but my saum has blown a few up.. I've tried lots of different Amax bullet of various calibre and found them all excellent..
  11. Forget looking for berger bullets... Rocking horse poo would be easier too find.. 185gr juggs would be your best alround bullet but you won't find many if any..!! An ELDM's with there ballistic tip will serve you well.. Amaxs will too..
  12. Ashcroft has some 168gr Amaxs that will do you.. When I had a 308 I found them really accurate
  13. Work up and find out what you can get.. Back a few years ago I tried a viht load stated in there load data in my 6.5x47 with N540 and maybe 123gr amaxs and it was hot as and well exceeded the velocity shown.
  14. No I don't John i just replied too the advert.. He must of read the replies you'd think 🤔 Ian didn't get any joy either..!! It is what it is..!!
  15. I too enquired but no replies.. We were the first to say we wanted these primers.. I double checked what I had so I didn't agree to buy the wrong thing..
  16. GM 215M's is what I'm using.. I'm sure I could buy you a drink also Tom but only if you'll stop the projectile vomiting 🤣
  17. I'd take 1000 of the federal gold match magnum primers.. I see some Diggle shooters who could bring them too me at Bisley.. Tom Reynolds or Dave Raybold would be possibilities..
  18. I tried getting some new screws as one of the allumn keys rounded off.. The communication was fine but the screws never turned up 🙄
