  1. I use an app to plot Creedmoor Sod using stupid bits of paper 😂 save the planet and stop wasting paper 👍
  2. The sporter version is nowt like the V3 , both very different being the sporter is a very basic version. V3 has different sensor and a much bigger display and head unit , also much more options, both very good but one is at least twice the beast than the other . If your a hunter that just want to check his favourite ammo from time to time then out in the field then the sporter is for you . If you want full and comprehensive data on your target / long range load then you want the V3 . Also both will work in total darkness if you felt the need haha 😂
  3. I wouldn’t go less than 24” my creedmoor has a 24” that will give you a MV 2700 FPS ( as an average) without pushing it you should be able to d the math from that and work out what it is best for you .
  4. I think some people need to chill out a bit 👍NE doesn’t want to stop / ban anything from pest control/crop protection or public health. All they are doing is ass covering on the say so of there legal eagles . I’m confident that come the end of the week we’re all know what we need to do and after the moans and groans have been put to bed we’re all be able to get back to business as usual 👍. Now then ... hands up who can remember the last time it happened ? I can remember my dad and grandad moaning that we couldn’t go , that was 40 yrs ago 😳 now that was a government cock up !
  5. No one knows what the requirements will be until NE release details tomorrow at some point. Until then everyone inc orgs are just speculating.
  6. Love the single shot followers 👍. I want two for my Tac A1s , but can’t get them anywhere so this maybe something to look into ?
  7. Another here for the 95 grain nosler. Very very accurate at 3k FPS and hit like a sledgehammer. Have done everything apart from CWD with the above .
  8. If your not happy just send it back . And explain the situation and they will simply replace it with a new one. Im going to go out on a limb here and say theres a good chance it’s more you and your data that’s the problem not the scope . any problems you think you may have can easily be Identified with a tracking/ladder test ..
  9. I wouldn’t mind one but we’re inside the 3 miles of airbase / runway so not going to happen .
  10. 4 x 3M Bumpon Adhesive Rubber Bumper Protection Stick On None Slip Feet https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DWY89TY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5.pLCbCVWGM8E
  11. Place a small rubber grommet there. You can get self adhesive ones for couple of quid on amazon. Job done 👍
  12. I have 2 of them and love the pistol grip , suits my Hands very well , other types/ makes I have tried just don’t feel right , either too skinny or a bit unnatural feel to them , but hey it’s what makes the world go round .
  13. I have a brace of tic-tacs ( .308 &6.5 creedmoor) also a vortex PST gen 2 5-25-50 MRAD FFP on each one , I get on very well with them , they suit my eyes , and I find the MRAD great , out to 600/1200m Love em ! As always try before you buy .
  14. My next rifle will be a dolphin. Not cheap but you always get a bit more than you pay for .
  15. Front bag for me. However if I’m at my local club I tend to put a cheap front pod on just to hold my rifle while there is a ceasefire / target change if that makes sense.
  16. Have to admit I’m now a big fan of Mils. Also find ffp MRAD for hunting /varmint shooting to be a game changer. Like I said both are great systems. And one is no better than the other. Just a case of what suits you better and for me it’s deffo MRAD 👍
  17. So what do you favour and why ? personally I have always used SFP MOA and it’s always served me well. And still think it’s a great system, however i always tend to get myself in a bit of a pickle when trying to range find or more importantly try to work out the size of something, granted more down to having unmatched turrets/reticule on lower end scopes . Over the years I have been playing with FFP MRAD scopes and seem to get on sooo much better , I have put it down to the fact of being a bricklayer every day I’m working in mm/ meters so I think im just wired up in metric. ( yes I know MRAD is not metric in the same way MOA is not imperial, but they both correspond well to each system) anyway I have just taken the plunge and bought Two vortex 5x25x50 PST gen 2 scopes in FFP and with MRAD turrets and reticules , one for the tic tac .308 and the other for the other tic tac 6.5 creedmoor. so like I said what and why do you use ,
  18. I totally agree, I’m trying to get into these different disciplines but as a new shooter coming from a stalking/keepering/ pest control background for the past 40 yrs it’s slowly giving me the arsehole , I’m finding the red tape and attitude by clubs and ranges a bit demoralising, im more than willing to be a team player , I’ve joined a great little club . I’ve got my dates through to do my RCO course , then I’m doing another one for military ranges . However I’m having a bit of a mare trying to get my SSC sorted . Which is annoying me . All I want to do is shoot some distance!
  19. Just to say .. i ordered some redding comp dies from him over weekend , really helpful over the phone with some great advice and options , stuff turned up today 👍 have to say the whole transaction from start to finish ( inc the stupid question over the phone 10 mins ago , which was answered straight away with a very simple solution) was just effortless. Big thank you 👍
  20. Yeah I know , but you know what I mean ,if it had been anyway else or any other situation I would have left the shot and tried to get into a better position.
