  1. The Remington bob was nothing more than a donor rifle as it’s got a proper stainless steel action with less than 100 rounds down it . Action is being blueprinted in two weeks and with the bart 28” barrel . I would put this bad boy up against anything else out there in its class 🤔👍
  2. Bob I have more sporting rifles than I can shake a stick at. This is for the range and my farm shooting steel long distance. 1200 plus
  3. How else are you memt to fit your sat nav. Cup holders. Mobile phone and Kestrel. Silly 😳
  4. Funny enough I’ve just put my PST gen 2 on it , prefer the leupold on my .308 👍
  5. The scope. its just the rubbish low res picture taken with my iPad . I just press the button 👍
  6. Sorry .. like a total dumbass I have put this in the wrong section. Mods please move it to the right section when you get a min . Thank you
  7. Remington R5 gen 2 in 6.5 creedmoor teir one 20 moa rail spur 35 mm mounts leupold mark 5 HD 5 x25 x 56 IR calvin elite 2 stage trigger AICS stock 28” stainless bartlin barrel booked in a couple of months time .
  8. Well this afternoon I called into dolphin rifles for a chat and some advice from Mik . I took my little project rifle with me with the intention of sorting some stock options. The rifle is a Remington 700 R5 gen 2 with stainless steel action and barrel Cerakoted in 6.5 creedmoor . Well this is what it looked like when it went in . ....
  9. It’s not just a re barrel it’s a complete new action. Bolt. And mag for £550. 00 it’s basically a brand new rifle. I have custom kit but I personally wouldn’t waste my money on a hunting rifle trying to pimp it up. Howa’s are a great and very very accurate mid range rifle that can keep up with anything else in its price point with ease. obviously this is just an opinion. And good luck to what ever he decides to do.
  10. It’s a simple 1 for 1 variation . Takes tens mins to do paperwork and it’s free , ( in Lincolnshire it’s a 7-10 day turnaround. ) there is sod all to be gained financially and buy the time his gun plumber has got the barrel done and then off to proof and back that can take weeks / months Barrel and action £550.00 from spud job done , and delivered next day if in stock . https://www.1967spud.com/shop/howa-rifles/howa-barrelled-actions-blued-sporter-action-with-h-a-c-t-fully-adj-trigger/ maybe some of the gun smiths on here can see if they can do a rebarrel and proof for the same money ? Im willing to bet my middle testicle they couldn’t get anywhere near it .
  11. I totally agree with the above , but the razor is a lot more money , in the 1K bracket I think the PST gen2 does take some beating , unfortunately for us we sort of get what we pay for ( weather that represents good value that’s your call ) I have just bought a new Leupold mark 5 HD 5-25-56 and it destroys the PM2s in every way , but it costs more 🤔 when it comes to optics , buy what suits your eyes and the best your budget will allow . And not hung up on what the knob in the next lane is using .
  12. Quick load is really not very good with RS Powders . I personally wouldn't rely on QL with RS .
  13. Go on the RS website and look at there data , throw that other shite in the bin ! I use RS powders in ALL seven of my calibre's and I would not go anywhere near 48 grains of RS 60 in a .243 ..... not a chance . I use the 75 grain nosler and with 41 grains of RS52 I will get 3280 FPS With 41 grains of RS 62 I will get 3150 FPS . Thats out of a Sako 85 with 24” barrel RS 60 is a very poky powder in fact it goes like F***k start low and work up YOUR barrel and case will tell you when they have had enough
