  1. I know who you mean sir and I 100% agree , they are a disgrace to the good online retailers out there , And I know I’m having a little Sunday whine and a moan , but as a rule 99% of them are fantastic . Just a shame there’s a few ##@#@# out there .
  2. It’s a simple case of displaying a stock level as the customer its our right too have a choice ! Whatever the individual does after they have been made aware of the goods status is down to them . We the consumer can’t walk into a shop and take goods without paying for them there and then , unless we enter into a legally binding contract ( finance agreement) with the retailer . So why are they allowed to take your money on what is no more than an “ open ended “ supply agreement that may or may not ever come good . still got the hump 😂 haha
  3. Yes maybe I need to start rethinking my online retailers
  4. This is my fav too out of my tikka T3 super varmint. mustard on 300m bunny’s
  5. Just a bit of a Sunday afternoon moan , surly I can’t be the only one ! well most of the weekend has seen rain here so I’ve just been nosing online when I’ve had nowt else to be getting on with , and then I got me thinking . Over the past 3 weeks I have bought various bits and bobs ( all shooting / Reloading related ) from 4 different well know online shops/ outlets and ALL but one have all got my goods on Back order! It’s fare to say I think , that online shopping is the most popular and convenient way too shop and it will be the biggest if not already with the impending death of the high street shops as there really is no way ( in most cases ) they can compete. so why ....... are these online shops NOT made to put a current Stock level next to item you wish to purchase ? After all there are lots that do make the effort ! Why are we not given a choice on whether we want to pay upfront for an item and wait 2-3-4-5 weeks for it to turn up OR go somewhere else ? I currently have 8 items on “ back order “ totalling £647.50 which I have PAID FOR and I have no idea when these things are going to turn up , if I could see a stock level at checkout and it showed 0 in stock I would have given it a swerve . Best of it is some shops don’t tell you until the order has been processed which could be 2 days later or 3 if you order on a Friday night you have no way of knowing till Monday morning ...... NOT ON at all ! IMO it should be made a legal requirement that current stock levels are displayed , if the item is not in stock SAY SO ! Its like writing a cheque knowing you haven’t got the money in the bank yet . Note to online retailers ...... some of you really are a bunch of James hunts !
  6. Just to say, anyone looking for a hardcore bipod your just not going to get better than the the fortmeier , these will take anything you can bolt on them . Also in real life there not as bulky/ big as they tend to look in pictures, these are seriously engineered bits of kit ! And once you buy all the spigots swapping between rifles is effortless. If you have a chassis rifle these are a must .
  7. When we’re talking expensive, what sort of money are we talking about here ? How much for a comp ? Practice? Or the day ? What are the costs .
  8. Nearly all of the mid ranged Hawk scopes I have looked through would hammer glass costing twice . Very underrated in my opinion if I remember rightly the sidewinder I had on my 220 swift coupled with 50 grn Noslers at 4000 FPS was a death sentence to anything that landed within a 500 m radius .
  9. Hawk S/W are are great scopes ., I have had a couple over the years funnily enough on fox rifles too , not tried them with NV but they are amazing under the lamp 👍👍. i only gave them a swerve because I have all Mrad scopes . Hmmm nowt there’s a thought an mrad sidewinder 🤔👍
  10. If you do end up splitting it up , I will take the bottom left spigot and spike feet off your hands .
  11. I just FL everything, every time . Everything fits where it’s ment all the time . so just FL and crack on . do people still Neck size only ? 🤔😂
  12. That’s what I’m talking about flash over whatever you want to call it . to be honest I mistakenly thought they where one of the same . Either way I think we can all agree neither would be welcome.
  13. I couldn’t agree more. I have had to put some plans on hold with a nice little Jungle Carbine. fingers crossed 🤞
  14. Time will tell if your definition is the correct one. I do hope it is the case but I also believe there needs to be some serious clarity on this for the sake of all concerned. I will however for the time being stick with my opinion 🤔
  15. Yeah I have loads of stuff left over from a couple of years back when I bought a load of it cheap. Should see me out anyway. Like I said for something different they are good fun . And your get lots scratching there heads at your local range trying to work out why there as silent as there Rimmy’s 😂
  16. I use Lapua subsonic heads https://www.lapua.com/bullets/subsonic/ and no they don’t expand . I have played with .308 subs on and off for longer than I care to remember 🤔 in my opinion... there no good for anything apart from steel targets or at my local range @100 yards . They don’t expand as your only doing a fraction over 1 K rubbish on bunny’s. Waaaay to expensive and a 22 rimmy does a better job ( you think a 22 Lr bounce about you’ve not seen nowt till you see 200 grns bouncing and skipping all over the place. ) NOT legal/ Ethical for deer and will just poke clean holes in a fox at any range . And if your still not convinced with all of the above you have the most amazing trajectory ever witnessed by mankind to deal with 😂😂 however for sheer fun and something different there great . Just a word of warning though , if your not sure leave well alone , I know we as reloaders love to tinker but please keep in mind if you push your luck it WILL bite you .... case detonation is always a major factor during load development will this or similar loads mainly due to the cases having to high a capacity and too little powder , this is why I love the trail boss in the .308 like has been said it will nearly fill the case . there are much better .308s to do this with 300 black out or 7.62 x 39 i belive is another good one too . also take a rod with you as you may get bullets stuck halfway done the barrel . Enjoy
  17. Blimey. i didn’t know trial boss has gone to. I have around 4.5 tubs as I use it for my 44/40 sporting rifle as well 308 subs. Thank you blue boy for that info . looks like it will be tin star for me too. I have tried it before and it’s not to shabby
  18. I use a 200 grn bullet and the powder you really want is trail boss
  19. A prime example of why I won’t waste my money on anything bigger than a .30 cal I hope this is not another twist of the knife for you boys with the larger cals. And I really do mean that sincerely, I may not have larger than a .308 for the range . But I do like to see the bigger stuff on my range days 👍👍
