Nope , just carrion only and for the protection of livestock and reared gamebirds . Licences for rook,magpie,jay, feral pigeons , jackdaws , I personally think are a long way off yet 🤔😞 It’s too early game birds as we won’t be picking ours up till August , but I have a lot of sheep and the carrion are starting to piss me off .

T If you are wanting to shoot carrion crows for the protection of live stock / reared game birds . The licence GL26 has is already in place for the past two so crack on you don’t need to apply for it . Tack driver alert ! Fantastic calibre , fantastic rifle . Just my opinion but the .243 is the only calibre out of the Ackley stable that really is a massive improvement on what is already a great calibre. Good luck with the sale .

The above licence is for shooting crows to protect livestock only , it will NOT cover you for shooting anything else or crop protection . the licences cover the shooting of birds for crop protection are hopefully being added from tomorrow onwards ( Monday )

The sporter version is nowt like the V3 , both very different being the sporter is a very basic version. V3 has different sensor and a much bigger display and head unit , also much more options, both very good but one is at least twice the beast than the other . If your a hunter that just want to check his favourite ammo from time to time then out in the field then the sporter is for you . If you want full and comprehensive data on your target / long range load then you want the V3 . Also both will work in total darkness if you felt the need haha 😂

I wouldn’t go less than 24” my creedmoor has a 24” that will give you a MV 2700 FPS ( as an average) without pushing it you should be able to d the math from that and work out what it is best for you .

I think some people need to chill out a bit 👍NE doesn’t want to stop / ban anything from pest control/crop protection or public health. All they are doing is ass covering on the say so of there legal eagles . I’m confident that come the end of the week we’re all know what we need to do and after the moans and groans have been put to bed we’re all be able to get back to business as usual 👍.
