His rest/bag set-up seems remarkably steady - A far cry from shooting off the 1/2" ply wobbly tables that are often available.

Ok so I shot a bunch of 10 shot (because 5 can lie) groups today at 100y but please understand the following so you can get an idea of the conditions, basically I don’t think I am doing the rifle justice with these groups 

1- I am knackered and had just shot my 6.5 for an hour and a bit doing some load tests so was tired before I started with the Vudoo which I only had with me on the off chance I had time, plenty of these shots could be user error.

2- I thought I would chuck my tuner on and have a play, so the SK Rifle Match target reflects this 

3- I did not clean down / re- foul the barrel prior to shooting the R50 and centre-x, I also still had the tuner on when shooting these 

4- Really struggled to get the Riton to parallax clearly at 100y

5- It was a poor choice of target to shoot at as could only see the black outer ring 🤣

I've got a box of R50 to try but it's gonnabe too windy for a longer-range test so 50yds will have too do..

If they shoot better than the Eley match that would be something 😊.

Curious whether I'll get any crackers aswell.

I shot a few groups with R50 today with my Annie54 at 50 yards. These were shot at Bisley on Melville range, a really crappy day. Quite pleased with the R50 used on the top four diagrams, the middle two were Centre-x. Looks like the R50 just had the edge there. No spectacular by any means, about .7moa average I guess.
All 5 shot groups at 50yds,  25yd prone target, front rest, glove at rear. 1976 Match 54. R50 and Centre-x

I see this often, Very good groups but they move around. Why? Are you adjusting the point of aim?

Ahh yes, I was playing around with my scope - not particularly interested in where they were going, just looking for group size.

The R50 was pretty good..

With a R2L wind were more wind affected than Eley match..

I moved around and set up so I was shooting into the wind which how I found out R50 were blown more..

Strait into the poi was more central.

Shot the match into the wind and they shot nice..

It felt like shooter error the shots that edged out the group..

They eley had the edge for me..

The R50 felt slower but the figures on the box say different.

I attached some anschults rail too the stock and used my mystic bipod..

Needs another fixing as the rail pivots a little.

looking good! Good glass makes a huge difference 

In the end, It’ll be down to what the rifle likes

If I were shooting serious competition <100m and somewhere that allowed supersonic, then for me the R50 looks good.

However for 1/2 the price the SK rifle match is doing it’s job! 
 

I didn’t have much time to play with the tuner at the range, however the issue I have with the Vudoo is that at 50y it’s just putting everything in the same hole and at 100y it was too hard to hold steady enough to know if it was me or the ammo. I definitely could have done with my old 10-60x for that and some sort of clamping device 🤣 I might make something up and hope that I get a calm day for the outdoor range

I'd like too shoot it off a bench with an eared bag too see if it will shoot tighter..

I had several groups where 3 bullets went in the same hole then the other 2 open up the group

I've been watching the pursuit of accuracy YouTube videos and he seems very solid off his bench and a bean bag thing.. the scope cam works well too..

He likes the 457 then sticks a lilja barrel on it..

This is a 12 shot group shot yesterday in a fair breeze at 50 yard with my Raw HM1000x  precharged air rifle using 25 grain slugs at just less than 1000 fps ,the patch was there prior to shooting the group the flyer was the second to last shot and probably down to me

Just amazing how airguns have improved over the last 15 years or so.

Until I got the Vudoo I would have used my FX at 50 yards, I get something insane like a <5fps variance from it, sub12 .22

This is a 40 shot group from 25y to 60y off a tripod when I was getting dope from my Pard. I would shoot a different target to get the drop, then hold over on this one and fire 5 shots, walk back 5 yards and repeat

Obviously never going to shoot anything in the dark at 60y with a sub12, just couldn’t believe how accurate it was so kept walking back!

Not bad going , what slugs are you using ?

I just sold my two impacts , mk1.5 very sortedfac and a mk2 subby .

I do like the impact but needed a change , 

I am convinced an air gun can beat a .22 lr , shot to shot constantly is nigh on perfect.
