Hi.

I am hoping to go to the Shooting show on Saturday. Never been before and wondered what clothes i will need? I.e. how much is indoors and how much outside?

Thanks.

None , you`ll be fine. :)

PS If you are a farmer the weather should not bother you unless your all arable and live in a tractor cab :)

I went a couple of years ago. The Dress Code seemed to be:

1. Morbid obesity.

2. Full Realtree camo.

3. Leather cowboy hat.

Accessorise with a hyperactive Springer and you'll blend right in.

Maybe because people in those categories do not have any two legged friends whose vocabulary extends to more than woof, and being able to lick ones b*lls!

Could be!

Once took a pointer to Crufts, but even he was getting a bit bored by Gundog Finals night;and I was beginning to find the tweed skirt, twin set, pearls and heavy brogue shoes a bit uncomfortable too.

Ive never met you but thats still a scary thought :)

Thanks,girls.....I didn't mean to bitch......or mention the "Yardley" or "Tweed" cosmetics.... there just has to be a tolerance/compromise between "When in Rome..." and "appropriate dress code..." .

Not everyone can win at "Articulate" ,whether the K9 or Neanderthal versions.

That said, 'It takes all types' can be seen as a criticism,too...... :-)

This could be described as a photograph in words, the image from previous Shooting show attendees sprang to life! :)

Funny you should say that, I went to the Kelso stalking fair a few years ago wearing a bright yellow and blue north face jacket and everyone was looking at me like I was mad! I just can't understand it! Some folk must be trying to look like they're fresh off the hill mun! May aswell smear your face in blood and carry an unprepped trophy around with you! Lol. Each to their own though I suppose!

I think to attend in the finest of 3 piece ( in exquisite mulberry silk), brogues and cravat is fitting enough for the day out, though I'm more a fat lab fan than a crazy springer. .....

I just got back from the Show and thought it was a good day out.

Bumped into a few UKVers - Bradders, Breacher (got me bi-pod!) Foxing tonight, Lambsey, Baldy Dave and one or two others.

I've usually been stuck on a stand so it was great to walk around and have a natter.

Liked DCR's 2oz trigger, Staffordshire Synthetics new stocks, Vortex's 15-60 scope (Pleased to see it's made in Japan) Third Eye had some new stuff, plus a few other bits and pieces.

No queue to get in - or out - for a non-shooting day it was good.

I will be there on Sunday as I have things to pick up,

so just to warn you all,

I will be the fat git in full camo with my bull terrier leather cowboy hat bad breath and body Oder of burnt powder and brasso.

I have a tad more than £20 so I'll be ok, as I'll be taking my own salami sandwiches cold tea and a raw onion for desert,

I look forward to meeting like minded hunters.
