  1. Tried the Labradar alongside Magnetospeed V3 (v3 mounted off barrel), velocity results very close and trends up and down the same. Sold the Labradar as it was more faff to use than the Magnetospeed.
  2. Unlikely to get a full kit but I have a V2 thrower with Area 419 upgrades and a V1 trickler lying around at home, all that is missing is the stepper motors which you would have to procure yourself, these are generic items available from many sources on the www but you would need to clarify which type to get from Adam McDonald. Working away at the moment but should be home just before Christmas. You would still need to get the scale.
  3. V3, better thrower and works well even with larger kernel powders such as RS80 plus the Bluetooth weight setting makes things super easy.
  4. For that you need a 6XC and 115 grain DTAC doing 3200 FPS.
  5. Ah, sorry but it was not clear to me so maybe not clear to others. Any way have another bump on me. THIS IS FOR THE STOCK ONLY 😎
  6. No comparison they are not the same thing. Targetmaster Trickler is only as good as the beam scale it’s paired with. Pair it with a good quality repeatable balance beam scale and it works really well.
  7. Get a T2k, Anschutz two stage trigger, quick barrel change and mags available in 10 and 20 round capacity.
  8. Interesting to know what they were able to shoot on a 'square' range. A problem in the UK is most 'square' gallery type ranges will not allow steel targets to be used and if permission is given, unlikely, it would be at a minimum range of 300m. MoD policy on steel targets is here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/413104/RSN_1502.pdf The RBL series that I was involved on some years ago was an attempt to get something more interesting to shoot with PRS type kit but range props were not an option when falling back to increase target engagement distance.
  9. The ELR format needs work if it's to be considered a serious competition, I'd like it to remain an option as part of a weekend package but be limited to 1200+ yards and ideally out to at least 2000 yards so venues are likely to be few.
  10. What type of AT stock is it? I have a RRS rail for an AT AICS but it does not fit early versions.

    RS76

Not had any problems with RS80 other than that my V2 Autothrower did not like it. I got some RS76 as its supposed to be optimised for .338 size case. I have a good stock of Warner Tool Company Flatline solids, 198 grains for the .300NM and 285 grains for the 33XC, all with Tubb Ring Modification.

Might be a while, working away from home for the next 5 weeks.

  15. Magnetospeed Flashers cost $150 each, that’s considerable investment required by venue owners.
  16. Not many contributions, I thought a lot more UKV members took part this year.
  17. If there is a 27km walk or run involved I’m out.
  18. 6XC with 105 Hybrids and 115 DTACs did well for a couple of competitors although considered by some to be barrel burners.
  19. That’s where pros and cons come in 🤔
