  1. Whilst a light rifle will sometimes be your friend there are pros and cons for recoil management when under the clock.
  2. McMillan T2k in 6XC with 26” Bartein 5R 1:7.5 barrel, Area 419 Hellfire Brake, Area 419 Arcalock 14” rail, Atlas Bipod, S&B Ultra Short 3-20x50 PM2 P4FL MOA Reticle, 1/4 MOA Turrets. all you need to source is a T-Slot nut and screw to lock the rail into the UIT channel.
  3. Well now that the 1st UK PRL Season is over what calibre, action and chassis did you use? From my observations 6.5 Creedmoor seemed to be the most popular caliber but there were many others in use. Lots of different actions and chassis systems were also seen as well as plenty of AI rifles. Optics were represented by a wide range of low, mid and high end (what does that actually mean if other than cost?) scopes calibrated in Mils and MOA. So let’s hear and see what you used.
  4. Final Round to the PRL completed yesterday. Some tricky stages and tight timings but altogether a fantastic final. Will post a link to the results and final leaderboard when they are published.
  5. Question about warranty: The unit for sale has 8 month warranty left, although, I'm pretty sure Adam would do the right thing in the event of a manufacturing defect. Replacement parts cost for damaged (shot) components are reasonable. https://www.autotrickler.com/uploads/6/3/4/4/63444023/shotmarker_manual_jan17.pdf
  6. Summary of differences between the May 18 and post June 19 models: The model for sale here is a pre June 19 model.
  7. The one for sale is the original, not sure of what the changes to the Sensors and Access Point are but the Sensor Hub jack plug sockets on the newer version are on the bottom not the sides.
  8. Powder left in the trickler and hopper will absorb any moisture in the air, best to decant it back into its proper container unless its just overnight.
  9. Lots of info here: http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/shot-marker-review.3956660/
  10. No, but I have two of these: https://www.autotrickler.com/shotmarker.html Excellent piece of kit, furthers I've used it out to is 600 Yards but it should be good out to 1000 yards line without the need to boost the signal. Software allows group size measurement, bullet velocity at targets, velocity SD & ES, shot deletion/hide, assigning sighters and keeping score, there is also a vast array of Targets pre-loaded. I made target frame out of a wooden Euro Pallet that easily fits in the boot of the car (rear seats folded down).
  11. https://www.autotrickler.com/shotmarker.html I have two and only need one. £600 £550 plus postage.
  12. There is no industry wide 'Standard' for the .308 size Armalite platform so you cannot guarantee that one makes upper will fit another makes lower, some will and some wont.
  13. Who knows, KVB223 are absolutely fine in the .223 size group of cases, I will keep the 18k for those and when I get a chance will try some KVB223M.
  14. Not tried the KVB223M, I have 18k of the KVB223 that I’ll keep for the .223 and try CCI 450 and BR4 in the 6XC with Peterson Brass.
  15. KVB223 What case and load were you getting misfires with and were they failure to ignite the powder (scorched powder) after ‘firing’ or a failure of the primer to go ‘bang’; tow different things.
  16. I had an issue a few weeks back with KVB223 primers in a Peterson SRP 6XC Case, one miss fire out of about 70 rounds fired that day. When I pulled the bullet the powder was scorched (some of it had a brown tinge) but had failed to ignite, load was 39.5 grains of RL17 and a 115 DTAC, powder was not compressed. I'm going to try BR4 and CCI 450 next, been told that BR4 should be ok by several other users.
  17. None of the extras are necessary, it’s personal choice.
