  1. Have a good day guys - can’t make it unfortunately
  2. Very nice all set for PRL ,,,,,?
  3. Distinct advantage over the 6.5mms ........
  4. Super result Lukas Could you possibly advise what equipment was used with your team (rifle, scope, spotter etc)
  5. Are there any apps that account for lat / long and course of fire bearing? I'm not aware of any that I’ve used over the years having this as a data input from the user it may be that it’s automatically accounts for lat / long but one should be able to input the bearing / path / direction of fire to allow the logarithms to give a true solution Or am I wrong in that line if thinking (Matt asking you as your probably the most experience ballistician here )
  6. Post 26 is where Frank adds his view http://forum.snipershide.com/threads/coriolis-effect.155178/ I see no advantage in not accounting for it with ballistic software at extended ranges
  7. The owners of a piece of land I manage use a DJI Phantom to assess deer damage on a SSSI where access is tricky. Really useful piece of kit Had I the funds free would buy similar for the same job on other ground I manage Believe one can buy thermal camera now which makes assessment on open areas a whole lot easier
  8. Interesting project Michael look forwards to seeing the results - stock looks not dissimilar to Sig 205 Phantom in design
  9. Now heres a thing - wouldnt it be nice if some forward thinking soul with a CNC adept mind (and equipment) could make a Rem 700 bottom metal compatible to take short or long action Sako 75 Mags......
  10. Wow !! they do exist - guess they answered someone else’s email ! I recall telling another importer about these (who brings in stiller) This May be the answer for you Pete with a flush release aics bottom metal
  11. Welcome back Also interested in using in my builds - do you have any trade information available (prices, profiles, twist rate, calibres available)
  12. I’m not aware of any mag system that fits your spec Peter other than HS Precision who offer 3 shot mag There was a company called Curtis Precision who were talking about making a 3 round mag for AICS bottom metal but I do not know if they got that off the ground - I emailed them about the mags and one of their actions in January 2018 and await a reply ,,,,,, FWIW I’ve used BDL type floorplate for stalking rifle for years with no ill results
  13. Look forwards to seeing the revised rifle
  14. Cheers Terry im out thank you £102 /50 for the 256 (338) is alot Especially when I can get the GS Custom SP 267 g 338 for £70 / 50 plus a bit of postage with only a .3 reduction of BC,,,,,,, Look forwards to seeing the results though
  15. Any idea what the price is going to be this side of the water ,,,,(256-338 and the 121 6.5’s) before I make a decision ,,,,
  16. Hi David 😃 Yes those SN 9’s were something else ,,,,,,, I think the Charlie unit the better option too The ranges we have in the uk where one can shoot beyond a mile are few and far bettween - most if not all suffer from weather issues (cloud , mist and fog in the case of the coastal one )
  17. March Genesis May get you there too if it’s to be believed
  18. Fag packet calculations 255 or 267 solid of .8 bc (G1) and pushing them at a (I think ) achievable 3200 FPS will get you 2700 yds before you run out of elevation ....... the 33XC should achieve that with ease and Peterson brass is likely to be decent quality so should hold up Better going this way for ELR than overbore 375 or unobtainable 408/416 projectiles ,,,, Can shoot at Warcop to 3k (assuming mil allow club entry)
  19. 106 Moa should get you to 2300 yards John with 215’s in the NM
  20. If only the bolt handle didn’t look ,,,,,”odd” Excellent platform but spendy 😃
