I checked my score sheet and I had 3 & 1/8 minutes mean wind on. I did aim off at the edge of the 5 ring several times on the drop offs. For anybody who's intrested here's a photo of my plot sheet.. My siters are ringed. I converted my siters.. Started V then 5 which is a nice way to start 😁. It wasn't brilliant but decent..

Without looking back at my score sheets I can't remember what mean wind I had in. The contrast between Saturday and Sunday couldn't of been more different.... High windy and heavy rain too a glorious sunshine 😂. Saturday was a struggle. Sunday started well dropping only 1 shot in the first detail.. My 5 dropped shots on the last detail cost me several places.. All good fun though.. Roll on the next one 😁

All 20 of there shots were inside the 1 moa 5 ring. 10 inches for you that are not familiar with f class.. I was on the detail before that and there was a bit more wind picking up and easing and had a 95/6 or 7 I think.. I was aiming from one side the vbull to the other.. my wind calls were decent and if I held waterline I could have shot a 99/6 or 7. I absalutely loved the competition. It's a great weekend. I really hope the European championships go ahead 🤞 I think im right in saying when they shot them outstanding scores the wind completely died and they were aiming dead centre.. A record that could stand for a very long time..!!

It's people who I shoot with at Dorset rifleman and the GB f class league so don't take any notice. A note in the British f class championships DrT set a new 1000yds GB f class record 100/14.. 20 shots too count plus 2 siter which are convertible. 14 out of his 20 shots were inside the 5 inch vbull. Another friend of ours Paul Sandie current world No2 shot a 100/12 on the same detail who must of been gutted when he saw DrT's score 🤪. Two outstanding scores 😎

I tried a ladder test with my 7mm saum and 184gr hybrids last year and I will try it again for sure.. Watching the bullets climb then shoot flat then suddenly climb again. I did mine from 300yds. I think it was after 8 shots it plateau'd for the next 12 shots I think before it climbed.. it was about 0.687 oai verticle dispersion for the 12 shots.. I used 1/10 of a grain increments.. f open set up..

I had 2 blank targets at 300yds,when alot of my shots vbulls and just out the top in the 5 ring which was my fault I should of dialled down an 1/8. FFS I'm not going to miss the whole target and backer 🤩. I'm really not that bad Tom. 9th at the British championships was a decent finish I was shooting with Steve Poutlney at the time I had 2 blank targets and we were both were stunned and questioned it.... About my 5th shot then the 10th shot.... Poo happens

Our bullets are from the same lot number or most of them I think.. Justin read off 2 different lot numbers. He had several boxes off me to top up his stash after my blow ups 🤔. Is your chamber being throated from the ELDM's..?? They have a long bearing surface similar to scenars. If it's being reamed with I think is .220 freebore reamer the 180gr eldm will be in the donut area as they are in mine which was throated for 184gr hybrids. Fine if you haven't any donuts. They like to just kiss the lands.. Mine are set 1 to 2 thousanths in on both my saum barrels when I tried them and with my 284 so I can't see why they wouldn't for you.. Justin's are seated the same or was.

I try too use up my bullets rather than leave them at the back of the cupboard.

Erik Cortina shot a sub 2 inch group with his 284 with 180gr hybrids at 1000yds with an ES of 18fps. 3 bullets were touching so I wouldn't worry too much on you ES. That's fact..!!

No I did not miss the target Justin 😴 Justin has used about 1500 of the 180gr ELDM's in his 284 and he's not had any blow up that's why he suggests I missed the target.. I was shooting V's and 5's at 300 and 600yds at the time I had the blank targets.. I've never had a blank target before I used the ELDM's. After the bullet didn't make the target at 600yds in the last match I got 2 other shooters to watch me shoot off the last 8 cartridges watching for another blow up. All V's and 5's none blew..!! I've put several hundred of them through my 284 without a problem.. Some shooters have run them at 3200fps in there 280 noslers without a blow up and some say string shoot in there 284s and they'll blow up 🤔. It's very random occurrences. Maybe inconsistent jacket thicknesses 🤔.

I've not tried them for hunting but I've been a big fan of the amaxs... 6.5 cal 140gr and the 7mm 162grs. I've nearly got the 7mm 162gr ELDX's to shoot nice. Shot this 5 shot group with 180gr ELDM's a few days ago with my 284 off a bipod and bean bag thing

That would depend.. Shooting strings of shots will get the barrel hot.. The odd shot it will probaly last forever... My current 1 in 9 twist barrel has done I think 1630 shots and must be nearing the end of its life.. The worn barrel may have contributed to the ELDMs blowing up 🤔. Never had any hybrids not make the target..!! I only shot 3 or 4 matches with them and the last 2 I had blank targets.. Dropping a point hurts... 5 points is total disaster.. If You checkout accurate shooter there's plenty of info on them blowing up, usually happens before 300yds....

So far I've used H1000 and N165. Both really good and kind on barrels so far.. As H1000 isn't reach compliant and dried up so I now I use N165 and wouldn't change back.. It's slightly faster and you can tell as it's snappier.. shoots the 184gr hybrids superbly. You don't say how long your barrel is...? I've had 180gr ELDM's blow up and not make the target in matches so I've stopped using them in matches...!! very accurate bullets though...!! My 284 shoots them great too at 160fps slower

How windy..?? It's been quite blowy here but not near the 40mph gusts predicted 🤔

Some of the frames are far worse than the others. TBH I don't think I've ever used an easy one that I can recall...!! We started using 2 shooters per target as some were so hard too operate. It's certainly long overdue some modernisation.

Scenars are hard too beat. I've not tried the 140gr hybrids in my 6.5x47 but if they shoot better than the 139gr scenars they'd have to shoot 1 hole. I can't say enough good things about scenars.. Having trouble with the 7mm 162gr eldxs but I'm probaly trying to push them hard.

It was the failure in 308 with the ELDM'S I was referring too..!! These bullets seem too like just touching the rifling 👍
