  1. It's not something I thought about before but the laser measures in a strait line and the bullet has trajectory which is longer than the strait measure of the laser.. I'm not sure if this is calculated into the equation on your ballistic app or not 🤔
  2. T I thought they were held via magnets.. Can we have a view through sight picture of the Charlie tarac..??
  3. I will be trying N160 in my 6.5x47 when we can get back out..
  4. I will try later to see how many grains of N160 the 47 case will hold up to the neck junction.. 41.5grs of RS62 is up about that far and is a compressed load. Have you tried RS62 and what was your max load..?
  5. Dave hasn't let this info out yet.. After reading this again I looked on the viht reloading again tonite to see what the load Is for the 6.5x47 and they don't show one.. N160 is only slightly slower burning than H4350.. We are missing a trick here with them blistering velocities. I think the difference between the 47 and the creed is about 1mm
  6. Seems like John is well ahead of the game..!!
  7. There's several 338 lap mag variants that may float your boat but I'd imagine it gets complicated and more expensive for little gain.. I will look into it. I was instantly hooked after my first few shots on a 338 lap mag at 1800yds 😁. I didn't get around to getting one in the end as I changed direction.
  8. Them rifles are ugly full stop so a ugly bipod suits them 😁
  9. As always it's easier said than done.. 1 mile is a nice range and still a serious challenge.. I've had a go and loved it using a Barrett 98B which has a twist rate of 9.7 ish.. it shot the 300gr scenars great I watched one of UKV's former users Mike Roberts on the KO2M series with I think his 50 cal and he didn't hit the 1550yd target with 5 shots..!! I've watched him shooting his 50 at F range at sennybride ok.. The wind is hard at Raton and shooting uphill maybe another obstacle.. I'm not familiar with the problems of that though.. 2 miles is literally a long shot and luck is the biggest factor...
  10. If you were gonna use a high energy powder you just aswell use RS60. The few times I tried some it shot really well..!!
  11. I watched a video on YouTube a few months ago looking for some king of 1 mile stuff but only found one and it was a woman shooting a 300wsm and I think a 212gr ELDX's to good effect.. 1 mile is probaly harder than you think as we don't get many calm days.. I'd be up for seeing some small 1800yds group targets if your brave enough 😉
  12. The king of 1 mile would be a good place to get things going.. I'd definately be intrested in that and getting a big 30 cal or 338lap mag 😁
  13. I watch the KO2M regularly. Load of series on YouTube
  14. I think it will be worth making a call Monday. Cheers Rich
  15. Not getting paid for doing it they call it voluntary work 😉😁. Volunteer work is still work and not recreational 👍
  16. You only live once..!! Go on treat yourself as you need it 😉
  17. That just scare mongering. You going out to do crop protection or predation on lambs etc should not go against your firearms license if you were pulled going to do what you have been issued the license for...!! These things are classed as essential and your a key worker and play your part on the farm for the landowner whether your paid or not.!! I bet 99 percent of us that have our licenses are unpaid..!! Why does being paid too do it make any difference..?? Your carrying out things that the firearms people has granted the use of your firearms for..!! If you are alone I can't see that's its a problem.. 99.9 percent of the time I hunt alone.. That's my thought on it right or wrong....
  18. I gagging to go out and shoot at some mid too long range targets 😫. I need a fix badly 😂. One shot at a fox isn't gonna cut it at the mo 🙄🤣
  19. That was a cracking shot if the fly was there 😁🕷
  20. 😁 I've had some longish kills but i use bigger calibre.. I once had 2 consecutive 630yd rabbits with a 6.5-06 with 140gr amaxs.. The amaxs are some of the finest hunting bullets I've ever used.. I launch the 162gr amaxs in my 284 and there superb.. A bit harsh on roe sometimes.. There better from past 250yds. Nice shot OOT2 😎
