  1. I get why it's slow...!! For some reason I expected it about 100fps faster. I pulled a cartridge and weighed the charge which was 46grs of N160 that was producing around 100fps faster than the quickload prediction 🤔
  2. It's not really a problem but I kind of expected it to be faster.. I'm not familiar with the cartridge, bullet and barrel length.. After a mate ran a quick load the velocity is on the money aswell as the accuracy... Saved alot on messing getting lucky with the load first time out 😳🤠
  3. It's a 20 inch barrel. What velocity would you expect with the 120gr amaxs running near max.
  4. I loaded some 120gr amaxs for him maybe 2 years ago and he hasn't gone out with his 6.5x55 since to shoot it. It was a low round count standard varmint.. Not sure if it was 20 or 24 inch.. Got him on the orange disc. Made the adjustments and fired 2 shots. 2 nice shots.. Chronied 3 which have 12fps ES. Only prob was it chronied 2750fps.. it shoots great so I will leave it for now..I've gotta pull one to check the powder weight as I didn't write that down doh 😂 Sorted his bal cal. We moved farms. I dropped him off to shoot from a stack of silage bales and I drove a few fields to my spot. Getting my rifle out and I heard a shot.. He had a Charlie strait away 😁.
  5. It's an offer but not high enough for you 😉. I will search for a cheaper alternative 👍
  6. No markings.. I checked my other pod I thought was Parkerhale and that too has no marking, on this one I had a tension screw fitted. It had to be drilled for the barrel pin that retains the tension screw in place. The one I'm selling is a different style that has the female spigot. Close up photo.
  7. Hi saddler. I bought it listed as a parkerhale bipod. I will check what markings it has.
  8. Selling this used Parkerhale/versapod type pod as it's not what I wanted.. I've not used it but there is some paint missing where it folds.. £80 inc postage
  9. I'm planning on getting a savage elite 110 in 338lm too 😋. I will hold off buying one until I can shoot one
  10. Scammers approached me on Stalking directory too my wanted advert. I brought it too the attention of the admin and they are now barred.. Jasonrd was reaching out message grrrrrrr
  11. I thought you could buy 260 brass nowadays
  12. I don't think the donut will stop the bullets seating consistently. They could cause inconsistant neck tension. Does the bullet seat above the donut area.. If you resize your brass as normal and get a K&M neck tension mandrel these so say push most of the donuts back out but neck turning the cases cutting into the shoulder helps against donuts. If the cases haven't been necked up or down I didn't think you get donuts.. Only inside neck ream fired cases.
  13. The 139gr scenars have a long bearing surface and seat really deep compressing the powder. I imagine the base to ogive measurements are much longer than the TMK's 🤔. I could be wrong though..!!
  14. 1700 shots so far. 26 inch fluted heavy varmint strait taper bartlein barrel about 0.900 at the muzzle. Recently getting 2800fps with 180gr ELD match bullets on 54grs of N160. I've been running 162gr amaxs on 57grs on N165 at about 2820fps for hunting. I've used 180gr scenar l's and 180gr hybrids on N165 which is slower.
  15. My 6.5x47 with 139gr scenars sat on 41grs of RS62 doesn't usually seat to the desired length on the first stroke of the ram. Sometimes it needs 2 or more.. Try it. Seat and measure.. Seat and measure and see if measures shorter each time but don't force it. The powder is compressing a bit more each stroke.. scenars have a thick jacket so less likely to dent it.. if I had a long drop tube it may help.. I do tap the case a few times on the bench top with my finger over the neck to stop powder flying out to get powder too settle down a bit more before seating..
  16. If your using a compressed load this could cause it too.. Try the lighter neck tension method first though 👍
  17. I still hunt Dave.. Every week at least twice unless I'm up Bisley. The ELDX's will/should shoot as good as any target bullet if its BC is correct and consistant. According to my bal cal figures it only gives away 1 inch at 1000yds to a 180gr scenar.. Side tracking a bit there What jump did the 162gr ELDM's like in your 7mm..? They gottabe the same shape 🤔
