  1. It would be very helpful if AI sold the chassis : rifle with the hinge as it’s a pain to remove the butt pad to clean the barrel
  2. Mine are Alpha Gen 1 have overtrousers too for each jacket makes a very comfortable any weather outfit Though perhaps sit down if buying new (unless you get your kit issued)
  3. I have a few Arcteryx jackets of the leaf variety all are totally waterproof and have survived years of hard use when culling, carrying out day long sojourns in darkest Cumbria and also at competitions One of my jackets developed a faulty zip a month if so ago Bearing in mind it’s over ten years old - I contacted arcteryx and was referred to their repairs facility (in Switzerland) who asked for images and brief description of the fault A week later it was sent to their repair centre and less than two weeks after it came back with nee zip fitted and re proof - free if any charge Cannot recommend this brand highly enough

  12. No problem i only saw the thread the other day would have been half hours work to make a case holder from delrin
  13. The planning application / appeal is pretty old news and been public for a while Not sure the thread has been started for other reasons given the opening content and I’m pretty certain the forum isn’t the place for this. If there’s an on going case going ahead regarding the “slander” then posting such things on the forum is also not best serving either your on going case or the web site (which Is prevalent to us) Closing the thread due to the above
  14. I usually make the case holders by machining a block of delrin to the dimensions of the Wilson case holder then reaming the chamber area with a finish reamer works a treat
  15. DSC1 provides the basic information required to be able to identify the species, sex and assess if a shot would be safe or not to take in field conditions The course also involves a shooting test which involves two shots to the chest on a deer target at 100 mtr Two to the chest as 70 mtrs seated standing or kneeling on the same target Two dispatch shots to the head on the same target at 20 mtrs The course used to be three days but has now been condensed to three it provides the absolute basic level of knowledge to anyone involved in deer management There is no practical aspect - such as field training and it’s perfectly feasible for someone with zero experience of shooting to pass the course (having been involved in the delivery of the shooting tests of these courses this is absolutely genuine )
  16. Reloading International have always provided first class service for me in the past never had an issue with Mike or any of his staff
  17. I wouldn’t discount other actions from the list Impact Precision Borden Both would be there with the others mentioned
  18. You would be looking at around £800 including proof and the barrel (unfluted) for a Sassen cut - slightly less for a Lothar Walther, slightly more for a US sourced barrel (Bartlein, Brux, Kreiger etc) they’re no different to any other rifle, I’ve done numerous TRG’s all end users reported excellent accuracy
  19. No probs Lapuas link was the fella I was thinking of - couldn't recall his nomenclature 😀
  20. Wasn’t the ad I was thinking of but I found this with a simple search of the site
  21. There were two Kahles for sale quite recently on here that one of the A I team members were selling (think he’s called Alec or Alex) One was K318i the other a K525i They do come up and they are worth the extra pennies over other scopes (I also use Kahles)
