OK a suplementory Brass question.. Ive been given a fair amount of 6.5CM Brass with an uncertain history ( maybe used once twice or 3 times). its mainly Hornady,Norma, and S&B. As I sse also see spud now does case annealing is it worth getting them Annealed and reloading them, or is one brand of Brass worth doing over the others.

Funnily enough I got the same email about a K31 I was after.

I use the Lanolin/Alcohol mix but my problem is it keeps gumming up the spray bottle i use. TBF the bottle I have is a 1litre plant mist job, so perhaps not ideal. What would you recommend to replace it?

Sorry newbie question, but what do you use the Red dot for ? Ive used one on my 10/22 for fast target acquisition close in, but not seen one used at distance.

You might be right, it is pehaps a little extravagent to buy a gun to shoot perhaps once or twice a year. ( though that has never stopped me with Shotguns 🙂 )

Hi All, So i took my 6.5CM out to 900 yards at Bisley on Saturday, shot my own hand loaded Ammo on the electronic targets, and relly really enjoyed myself, 95% in the Black and a fair few V bulls, it gave me the same warm feeling of a 4 lb river caught wild brown with a hand tied fly . Now the problem is i may have caught this distance bug, so is there anywhere in the SE I can shoot 1200+ and justify (to surrey policeand the Mrs ) a .338LM or similar which would make an ideal retirement present to myself? thanks Martin

Just to round this off I got a Gen1 Vortex Viper 5-25 50. Shot with it at 900 @ Bisley on Saturday. Very impressed. However I fear the day has opened another can of worms!

Ive got hold of a new MDF bench that Im going to use as my reloading center. Should I treat it with anything (Wax, Oil?)before I start using it?

No, they will supply a tablet, But if you want to save data and there is some potentially usefull stuff, ( i.e speed of bullet at impact, group sizeetc .) then all you need is a browser on you electronic device of choice. then you can save all the info on your own device ( it gives you the option when you clear the data) I got given a bit of A4 explaining what to do, but of course I cant find it now. but its something along the lines of open up network seetup and connect to the "shotmarker network" then open a browser and go to http://127.0.0.1? then a page will open you tell it what lane you're in and away you go. PS: I was on Stickledown today and i swear the wind flags on either side of me were pointing exactly 180degrees different at the same time!

Take a phone or a tablet with you if you can, its pretty simple to connect them to the Shotmarker system and then you can save all the data

Can i have the Aim please?

IMHO if you worried about the cost you may as well buy S&B at somewhere around 85p each, and save reloading for the exotica.

Guys I have 2 rimfire rifles on my FAC, I want to sell one, a 10/22 and replace it with a Anshutz target rifle. Im not sure if Im going to do it in one transaction at a RFD, or sell the 10/22 privatley then buy the target rifle at a later date. when in the process do i apply for a 1-4-1 or do I even need to? TIA.

Thanks guy's, I have reloaded in the past not many about 50, but they all went bang and went in the general direction in which they were aimed. however this is part of the problem as Ive also been given some empty cases and Ive got no idea which have been fired X1 x2 x3... etc.. So after checking the price of new brass, I think I'll start off with 100 new PPU cases, bin all the old cases and then I have a known basline I can start from. c
