The OP is a lazy old hamfisted git! My logic is you have to have a case to activate the powder messure, that leaves you will a part filled case, Now I could decant that into a weighing tray make it up to the exact weight and then refill the case, but my dispraxia and the elastic bounce properties of RS62 means some would escape. Hence why do leave it in the case and top it up direct. Cheers the Henry doesnt look bad. The problem I have with decanting the powder is that at every stage when i do itthere is a fair risk of the odd grain escaping.

Does anyone have links to, or know even if they exist.. 1: A really small ( pen sized) vacuum that i can use to clean up the grains of powder that always seem to escape. 2: A Powder pipette. The way i load is that i use an electronic scale to weigh the case, zero the scale then use a Lee drum to fill the case to within say 1 grain of target, then manually make up the difference. What would be handy is if i could trickle the powder direct into the case mouth whilst its on the scale. I see extruded powders being the problem.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but is there any advantge for "pure shooting" in having electronics. Obviously when your chating to mates ( when we can do that again) its a benefit, but if your shooting on your own, why bother?

Having decided to stick to one manufacturer for my brass Ive got 250+ 6.5CM cases for sale. Its a mix of S&B ( all once fired) Hornady ( 2 or 3 times fired?) with the odd Norma and maybe others thrown in, but all large primer. Some of it is deprimed some not. As its a bit of a mix.. £75 the lot plus postage ,or Im at Bisley tomorrow 8:30am for a couple of hours and at least a couple of times most months.

And I'll take the press please.. can you let me know the postage to RH2 please, Cheap as possible Im in no rush!

just to be clear.. cut the head off and throw it away, tie-wrap the rest of the toothbrush to the powder thrower. 😀

The idea is you buy the cheapest electronic toothbrush you can find (think Ebay&China). remove/cut the head off then tie-wrap it as tight as possible to your autodrum ( it also should work with anything similar). Then turn it on while you load. The idea is the vibrations stop kernals sticking internally and help granular powder to pack evenly. (I was using RS62) I dont think it will ever be consistant enough for benchrest, but it good enough for what I do and its a damn sight faster.

Gents, the two groups below were shot with rounds made using the Lee Autodrum. the first set without the toothbrush mod the second with. Number 2 on the first set could have been my fault. and the breeze was a bit gusty on the second set but brushing seems to help! Gun was a 6.5CM @ 900 yards on Stix.

Not sure where you live but heres my story I started with a .223 as good as anything out to 300y, more challenging at 600y but possible, However I live close to Bisley and Stix was waiting, One 6.5 Creedmoor later i'm shooting 900, 1000, and 1200yards. The issue now is I found this board read about Eskdalemuir and now I feel a mile and a 300 Norma Mag / 338 lapau etc.. calling me! Once you start its hard to stop. Ive also shot a 22LR out to 200 yards, good fun and good training on reading the wind. However back to your orgonal questionAll my scopes are FFP Milrad, just my preference but for what i shoot they just work better for me. A Falcon on the LR and Vortex Viper's on the centre fires. No complaints with any of them.

Ive got a EVX 6-24 FFP on my rimfire and I've no major complaints. The eyebox gets a bit small at max mag and the mag ring itself is stiff, ( fixed with a breakaway coaster) but at the price I'm happy.
