Not sure where you live but heres my story I started with a .223 as good as anything out to 300y, more challenging at 600y but possible, However I live close to Bisley and Stix was waiting, One 6.5 Creedmoor later i'm shooting 900, 1000, and 1200yards. The issue now is I found this board read about Eskdalemuir and now I feel a mile and a 300 Norma Mag / 338 lapau etc.. calling me! Once you start its hard to stop. Ive also shot a 22LR out to 200 yards, good fun and good training on reading the wind. However back to your orgonal questionAll my scopes are FFP Milrad, just my preference but for what i shoot they just work better for me. A Falcon on the LR and Vortex Viper's on the centre fires. No complaints with any of them.

Ive got a EVX 6-24 FFP on my rimfire and I've no major complaints. The eyebox gets a bit small at max mag and the mag ring itself is stiff, ( fixed with a breakaway coaster) but at the price I'm happy.

Gents I need to talk to my FAO about a couple of things and while Im about it I'd like to sound out putting another rifle on my ticket, Ideally I want something that can shoot out to 2 miles (at eskdalemuir) but I feel it would be easier to justify if I'm also able to shoot it at Bisley, (im a local) so a .338Lapau is out. What calibre whould you suggest?

Guys Im thinking of selling all my old mixed 6.5CM brass and starting afresh so I know where i am with shot count etc.., I quite fancy trying Peterson LRP Brass, now its £48.95 for 50 but only £394.95 for 500. I need 250, so if i were to get 500 would anyone be interested in the other 250 at cost? Just testing the water here, no promise Ill go ahead but it does seem savings can be made in bulk buying. (I wonder if it works for Powder as well)

thanks,.. I do mesure the internal case volume and put that into quickload. Also with the .223's im very conservative with my reloads , my M55 has its 1 in 12 origonal barrel, so im only loading for a 300m max distance.

So i shot 300m electronic this AM, with the purpose of using up some .223 rounds I'd made a while ago ( in lockdown ) with not my prefered powder. Anyway my rounds, while slow, were pretty consistant and I managed to get 3 "electronic" touching 5 shot groups, which i was happy with. I then switched over to some Bisley bought magtech ammo and it was all over the place, still within the 4 ring I'd say, but vertical and horizontal edges, is this typical of cheap factory ammo?

Me too..! Bosis used to do them and if you have £15K+ im sure they would make you one 😀 Im certain a UK manafacture used to make one as well ( MacNab, Mc Naughton?) At the other end of the scale Bikal do them, I had a 16G game gun once weighed more than a 12B trap gun but fun. Please let me know if you find any, Id be very interested.

Gents. Can I check my 1000m scope setting on a 6.5CM using the 7.62 Bisley Zero target? Im not worried about exact settings just so dont bust the electronic target.

Hi Has anyone any creative ideas for Rifle die storage? I'd thought about getting some holes drilled in a "butchers block" piece of wood, but that proving harder than i thought. I suppose I could resort to the used ice cream tub, but i was wondering if there was anything more suitable?
