I can't be a luddite because I'm not opposed to new technology otherwise I wouldn't prefer the matchmaster. Maybe Adam needs somebody to design parts into a more tasteful compact unit with its precission which would make for a very nice piece of kit...

There is more than one video and that A&D&AT is a monstrosity and was a piece out of that Delorean from the back to the future film which also became part of the mouse trap game 😉😂. The matchmaster is a far better looking piece of technology rather than a contraption 🤪😂.

On the videos other scales were used to validate the weights but it was suggested that the same check weights were used on both units and testing shown the matchmaster was accurate down to less than one kernal

Hi catch.. Have you seen the new RCBS matchmaster digital powder dispenser.. check it out on youtube. The A&D and auto trickler is good but its a bit of a contraption. The new rangemaster is a nice unit and can throw charges that will match the A&D auto trickler but a little slower.. A few seconds means nothing to me... Repeatability does....

3000 sounds ok. I hope my 6.5x47 does that many. I think it's done about 1700 ish. Still shoots superb...

Any guestimates on barrel life in a 260 ackley...??

I've had a 6.5-06 and it was superb. I'd agree that the 6.5x47 cartridge has its limitation but it's not about all out powder and velocity.. Accuracy is all..!!! If you want all out powder then the 6.5x284 will suit all your needs... I only tried some 123gr amaxs once in my 47 and couldn't see any reason to change from the 139s or 140s.. The small variation in BC means is so little from 140 to 147 I doubt if us mere mortals would notice....

Si snipe uses the 147gr ELDM's in his 6.5x47 and rates it very highly 👍

You won't go wrong with a Mk4 leupold though I do like sightrons and I have a vortex golden eagle for f class which is really nice....!!

I will try in mine on my current labourer just too prove he has nothing inbetween his ears. If he had a brain it would be like new as he's never used it 🙄

I've not considered ones that insert in your ears.. I had operations on my ears when I was a kid.. Grommets then skin grafts and to be honest I'm not fond of things being inserted in them. Definately going with muffs...

You can shoot McQueens with a muzzle brake which is one of my favourite COF's and they look way better and perform better than any mod.... Ive used muzzle brakes for 9 or 10 years and much prefer them. The noise/blast doesn't bother me unless it's from a 50 cal that is harsh 😆
