  1. Most women seem to be fat these days 🙄
  2. 200 cases would be ample size capacity for me..... My mod must be 0.150mm long and 50mm diameter. My muzzle brakes are just a few inches long max...
  3. Some mounts are indexed and they need to be on the right way. I've got some I think are CPS rings. The bottom half and the top half has a mark on it that match and should go together. They may work the other but may change there line to bore axis.... Just a thought...... ⚓😉
  4. My plan was an occasional clean just for the insides really and to do my muzzle brakes and maybe my S5 mod. I clean my brass with a fine wire wool with a cordless screwdriver and the shell holder. Only takes a few seconds per case which is definately the quickest case cleaner by far. Muzzle brakes are a pain to clean and was told yesterday the ultrasonic cleans them so there like new,I liked the sound of that 👍
  5. My brass has been fired alot and overdue an internal clean. Which ultrasonic cleaner would you recommend..? I'd like to do as many at a time as possible within reason... Cheers No I deer
  6. How does the target master tricker compare with the recently upgraded all singing and dancing electronic dispenser the FX 120i. Wondered how accurate the TMT weighs in 0.01gr wise. Catch 22 may have played with these 2.....
  7. I've still not had the oppertunity of shooting a creedmoor. I do like the look of the tic tac 👍
  8. Thats what you expect from a quality scope 😉
  9. As I said I've used this load before BUT only firing the odd shot hunting or a little ammo/group test with the mod on.... I've used that load at Bisley before but with a muzzle brake on.... Yesterday was the first time I've ever used a mod on it at a range ie. Reason being was i developed the load with the mod on so I thought it best to use it with it on.... Before this I've always used a muzzle brake at Bisley... My mod is a jetz compact I think... It's a jetz of some form. Also today I used my the Mk1 S5 ase ultra on my 26 inch 284 hunter in the morning at 900 and 1000yds and I didn't have a problem with this........ normally I use a brake on this too.... Reason being back a several months ago I used my 284 hunting rifle in a f open match as my 7mm saum was away being rebarreled. Prior to this match I tried it with a bare barrel ready for the match and it was horrible too shoot bouncing around being only about 12lb naked, I took a chance and stuck the mod for the match which tamed it down nicely and to my surprise accuracy was real good as it shot about 3/8ths elevation at 600yds. Muzzle brakes are not allowed in F class otherwise I would of used it... Thanks for your help chaps worry over 😅👍 Atb No I deer
  10. Maybe your right catch... Only thing I'm not sure of its 600yds snaps and I am firing 4 shots in around 25 seconds and the cases are ejected instantly.... I did notice smoke coming out behind the ejected case though 🤔👍
  11. All my brass gets full length sizing. It's a slightly compressed load and definately not mild.... Powder comes to bottom of the neck and the bottom of the bullet must be down near the shoulder body junction. I use 41grs with a 139gr scenar as they seat quite deep. 42grs behind the 140gr amaxs may see pressure signs and would be a well compressed load. I wouldn't want to go there.....
  12. Yeah Smokey would describe it and handling them it came strait off on my fingers/hand. We're you happen to be using RS62. All my 6.5x47 brass is now freshly annealed ready for firing again. Today's brass will prepped and re-annealed.
  13. I started shooting a COF at 600yds this afternoon with my 6.5x47 and cases started coming out sooty.... Load was Lapua brass, Br4s, 140gr amaxs over 41.5grs of RS62. It was 2,120 comparator measure jumping 20 thousanths brass was on its second firing a after annealing. It didn't seem affect it's Accuracy. Just out of curiosity I swapped the moderator for a muzzle brake to see If there was any difference in accuracy and if anything it was slightly better with the brake and the soot that went all down around the cases had stopped and gone back to being a little sooty around the necks only....🤔 I have used this load before and it didn't do it...... I was wondering if some debris or a few rain drops my have got on the brass which then found itself in the chamber which stopped it sealing the chamber on the ignition of the powder.... I wouldn't of thought the swapping of mod too the brake made any difference or would it.....???
  14. I'd by lying if I said I wasn't one 😁😉
  15. I shot this morning on stickledown at 900yds and 1000yds At 900yds in 10mph and gusting and it was ok and I shot quite well. Back at 1000yds wind got up more and it was 15mph ish and gusting 20 odd and it was changing through the string of 4 shot taken in around 25 seconds and I couldn't get 4 identical targets,2 or 3 at best,it was basically unreadable, 25mph constant would be not to bad, gusting would be waste of ammo... I was using my 284 with 180gr scenar l's and i had 8 minutes mean left wind on and aiming off minute plus.that was hard work 😅. Good practice I guess but I would of rather used the ammo on a better day 😆
  16. 🤣😂. Shooting in 25mph winds from 1000yds is extremely difficult let alone 1100yds 😅. I've done it once in a club comp and it's a waste of ammo 🌬🌬🌬. There are plenty of scopes out there that have alot of windage but alot have reticles that will give you the option of an extra 10 plus minutes if you really wish to shoot in such windy conditions.. Good luck with that 👍 No I deer 😁💋
  17. I cant really see the point of this exercise !!!!! It is what it is..... What's the most windage you've ever shot with dialled in which may make this relevant No I deer
  18. For perfection then maybe the action and barrel should be black but it really looks great as it is... For ages now I've been meaning to get my 284 Manners T4 stock painted drab olive as it my favourite colour for a rifle stock...! It too has a silver barrel but it has been bead or vapour blasted so it's not shiney, not sure if green and silver/grey works for me.. It will definately be alot better than the patchy black finish it has now where it's rubbed off against my clothes stalking/hunting 😁
  19. I think you need to get back too shooting f open 😁
