  1. Hi all Any body on here using them..?? How are they performing and what jump are they liking..? Cheers N I D
  2. Ive never had a sawn off either not sure what the length my 452 varmint is... The tx1 looks real nice in other stocks from videos I watched this morning 😍
  3. I used wipe out tactical advantage for years and only changed because of the time I needed some it was put of stock and had to use an alternative.. I will switch back back now after reading Dave from the shooting sheds experiment 👍
  4. I found an old thread on here about shorter barrels and it seem all powder is burnt by 9 inches so a 16 inch would very much suit my purposes..
  5. The TX1 comes in two different barrel lengths.. Will the shorter length affect the velocity or is it at its full potential at 16 inches..??
  6. Thanks Andrew. The only way to get very accurate 22 is to wade through the ammo and find what it likes... I think i will send off for a variation to my FAC and keep my eye out for a second hand one 👍
  7. Ive had my CZ 452 for about 20 years.. it too has seen 1000s and 1000s of shots and shoots as good as the day I bought it.. I have a 5 and 10 shot mag that does stick in your back 🤣 I've been contemplating the TX1 for ages as I've been a big fan of tikka having had a 595, a 695 and a T3 which has been 3 different calibres.. Hopefully I will get to have a few shots on one first..
  8. Are they outstanding or just the same as the rest. I'm an avid 22lr fan and love my CZ452 varmint and subsonic ammo. As any of you compared the two..?? Anschults has always been recognised as one of the best.. I do really like the tikka and it's concept. Thoughts please 👍
  9. My 22 is my favourite rifle by far.. I also have a 7mm saum, a 284 and a 6.5x47.. Noisy bloody things 😆 I will try for 100yds next time.. It was a bit breezy out in the open so I went inside the wood to shield myself a bit from the wind
  10. Just had a go at 80yds. Used a hold over point on the reticle. Wasn't sure I could thread the shots through so I only fired 2 shots from 80yds..!! Im pleased with that 😎
  11. Do you mean you've fired 600 shots between cleaning or that your total shot count and youve cleaned it several times inbetween.. if 600 shots without a clean it maybe a bit hard to remove..!! I've not got a borescope but several wet patches of boretec gets the worst of the carbon out. I use a tight fitting nylon brush if it's a little stubborn.. A few patches again and leave to soak for a few hours.. Sometimes I leave it overnight as it's been a long days shooting and it's easier to leave it to soak if unless it's old school cleaner that's really hard on barrel metal. Sometimes then the faint light blue copper fouling comes out on the patch but more on my older barrels. I'm not sure it's crucial to get every speck of fowling out might I might be wrong..
  12. I've not tried the Winnie sub on paper past 60yds but.ive had quite a few 80yd wood pigeons.. I only hunt with my 22 but we've mentioned about shooting 100yds I will try out the 42 grainers that far. The old eley would do an 1inch most times
  13. My CZ452 would cloverleaf most of the time at 55yds with the eley subs but they changed them from 40 to 38gr and there now the worst 22 subs ever.!!!! 42gr winnie subs are the best I found since..
  14. I'd like too see some 100yds bughole groups with a 22 rimfire 🧐 I never use HV ammo. I did try stingers once and they were a pike of poo..!! When eley extra hollow subs were good I could get 1 inch groups
  15. There is a vortex 10x42 thing on eBay with target turrets.. 10 mag is too much for me.. 9 mag is likely to be too much but for the hunting purpose I would normally use it on x 7 or/and x 9 for long shots or plinking.
  16. Hi all. I've 3 boxes of these 162gr amaxs for sell.. I think there all the same lot number.. £42 per box including p&p. N I D
  17. I shoot in a club called London practical shooting club. We shoot at bisley and other ranges nearby.. We shoot gallery, small bore and fullbore. Centre rifle shooting like snapshooting 200 and 300yds McQueens and 600,900 and 1000yds snapshooting which is great fun and is very competitive.. There is quite a few ukv members who are members. I too am also a member of Dorset rifleman. A great club with great shooters who collectively have a vast knowledge on most calibres.
  18. I used up some CCI subs I was trying and rezeroed for 42gr Winnie subs which shoot best in my CZ452. Groups shot prone from 50yds. Right group was adjusted down 2 clicks and shot the left group to keep 0.5 inches high. My Simmonds diamond mag is slightly blurred on 12 mag and feel I could hold more accurately with some better glass.
  19. I've had 2 x Mk4's.. A 20 and 25 mag and they are brilliant scopes.. I sold one to get a sightron with more mag for longrange target and for hunting with a illuminated dot which is pure genius and the other for a vortex golden eagle for f class. That too is a great scope. Superb glass
  20. I did try a 4x12x40 ir vxr cds on it but parallax was set for 150yds. It didn't work.. it was a great scope... One of the nicest scopes I've ever used
  21. Eye piece and objective lens protectors for MK4 with 50mm sunshade. Selling as a package won't separate. Eyepiece has a rubber eding Great condition £35 inc p&p
  22. I want a point and aim scope.. as much as I like twiddling turrets a reticle I've tried and record aiming points for reference will be perfect for my needs, I don't wanna keep adjusting side parallax and don't really need to take shots past 100yds very often.ive had this 22 for nearly 20 years so I know it's capabilities.
  23. I've been doing the same and I've made my mind up on a 3 -9 x 40 leupold vx freedom rimfire scope and 1 moa recticle. Great glass, great reticle and a 60yds set parallax with capped turrets... Use hunting and a bit of plinking as realistically 100yds is a stretch with subs..
