  1. Would you expect a car/tv/washing machine manufacturer to deal direct with you ?
  2. Again, why would you expect a manufacturer / distributor to deal with the public ? If they did it would alienate their trade customers who will be their core customers , ask you local RFD to order what ever reamer your want.
  3. So why not buy a couple off your local RFD ? why would you expect a manufacturer / distributor to deal with the public ?
  4. There dosent seem to be much point paying up to double for other brands when Sasssen are a proven British product.
  5. I fully understand , you would be initiating an illegal export from the US, you dont have to be in the US to commit a crime there and a few people have found that out the hard way , read the ITAR regs if you have many hours to spare.
  6. If you dont want peoples views / opinions dont ask questions , if its too rough here for you try Mumsnet
  7. You live in a dream world , as an exporter ( which you are if you initiate the deal) its your responsibility to find out if you need an export license to export firearms components out of the US , and guess what , you do if the cost exceeds $99.00, you even have to get an export license for a wooden stock ( see Boyds stocks) but carry on breaking the law if you want , only you will be prosecuted not me.
  8. Tell that to those extradited for hacking US government computers just to for the crack with no criminal intent.
  9. No issue with UK authorities however US authorities may take a different view , exporting most firearm components from the US are covered under ITAR regs .
  10. Its not always about what your FAC says either , if the calibre is vague then your RFD may not agree to let you have your opinion of what it means.
  11. Then thats all you can have unless you send in for a variation.
  12. Every firearms dept will have different a view , ask yours then youve no worries.
  13. There`s the issue with nearly all factory 243w`s , they are 1:10 yet sold for deer stalking and in Scotland and NI you have to use 100gr + ,
  14. I want to be able to fit it in a back pack when walking from one farm to another and also as a truck gun.
  15. Yep 12" , I`ll be using a moderator , but as many calibres wont have burnt the powder I thought I`d ask the question.
  16. Well 30/30 meets the criteria , if a bolt action was chambered in 30/30 it would open up a bigger bullet head choice so a contender .
  17. What would you UKV chaps say was the best calibre for a short barrel (12") deer legal rifle ? the bullet must not be less than .240 inches and it must have at least 1700 ft/lb`s ME .
