  1. Shooting 0.4 moa N160 2725fps from a 24in barrel. Lapua scenar 139 gr and Lapua SRP brass charge weight needs to be increased with the SRP brass I'm running 44 grains of N160
  2. Anybody looking for some thermal sights spotter etc, Optical solutions are doing some cracking deals on kit. got myself a E3mas v2 spotter excellent unit for £1700
  3. I will do some research Titch, there must be a way around it. I know all this can bus tec is a nuisance sometimes.
  4. I'm sure this could be done by connecting into the reverse light switch and brake light switch, I would use a latching relay, so when the ignition is cycled it resets, so you don't go off down the road with no lights.
  5. You can do the same on Strelok pro, by putting in all your relevant details then go to the table settings and set for 5 yard increments, then just look at the table, this is how i setup my thermal, first zero 85 yards 2nd Zero 235 yards just over and 1 1/4 at it's highest point. this is for a 22.250 using 50 gr Vmax
  6. You need to get into a bit of beating etc, it opens a few doors, when you up this way pm me your number, i might be able to put you in contact with a couple of Gamekeepers, no promises, but you have to start somewhere.
  7. I Can't believe no one has mentioned Clint Eastwood, now he's .44 Magnum? /50 cal
  8. Had the same problem with my 6.5 CM version shot about 600 through it and the Barrel had rusted out. probably my fault for not cleaning as often as i could but even so a pretty poor show, New Bartlein fitted now by Neil Mckillop, not shot it yet but if it shoot as well as the previous barrel, i will be happy and i'm sure it will.
  9. Have you got it set to 1cm clicks @100m in the Scope setting menu?
  10. The 90+ Ecu's it has, would put me off, they can't get the 40 odd on the older models to work correctly let alone 90, Land rover have lost the plot. they have moved away from what they were. a couple of years ago we had 4 top of the range, Range rover Vogues turn up at the shoot i beat on, anyway they followed the Tractor down the Field, it was only a gentle slope. They parked up went to to their pegs and shot, when they finished none of them could make it out of the Field, it was a pain to get a tow rope on them because of all the bits of plastic, but we pulled them out with a 15 year old Ford Ranger, bit embarrassing for them, i thought, they used to be the ultimate 4x4 but not any more, most bling 4x4 more likely, If you can afford one a Mercedes G wagon is better.
  11. I have just packed mine out with rags, i get plenty of them for the workshop, i didn't want something i couldn't lift + i can un zip it and get a clean rag out to wipe the Gun down.
  12. I used A Spuhr one piece mount with 20 Moa built in, this was on my IOR Crusader Scope with a 40mm tubem but other models are available, absolute top drawer stuff.
  13. I'm on a couple but never put pictures up, it's mostly dick swinging any way, not worth the bother. IMHO
  14. Hi Anthony, yes i spoke to Neil and i'm nipping over in the next couple of weeks to have a look at a few different profiles, Yes Stainless is the way to go, i'm thinking a slightly heavier profile. Neil done a Fab job on my .243 Sako. No doubt all my Rifles will end up at Neil's t some point. By the way is the Drone OK Now?
  15. The Tac a1 and the Ctr share the same Mags, so i would have thought you would be fine, however i waited 6 months for my 24" stainless CTR in .223 and i'm chuffed i waited, i already have a Tac a1 in 6.5 Cm about 2 years old and 500 rounds regular cleaning and the barrels pitted and knackered already, no matter what i clean it with it rust like mad, It's new barrel time for me, Bartlein i think next time.
  16. I have Pops, for research purposes😄

    Bore Scopes

Just bought one of these, because i'm a Vehicle tech and it saves a lot of stripping down for diagnosis 5" screen hi res borescope with 3.9mm tip done a quick inspection of one of my Barrels and it works a treat, although on a smaller calibre you can only use it in the straight ahead position because if you use the 90 deg mirror it's slighty out of focus. quality is good though, but a bit pricey.
  18. I use spuds ones on my 6.5 Creedmoor brass with no bother.
  19. I Have a TAC A1and use it as a Foxing rifle sometimes if i know its going to be windy, i use a 95gr Vmax running 3285fps shoots .4 Moa no bother, so it's capable of it.
  20. Surely the best way to do it, is have a chat with your Firearms Officer agree the variation in principle once you get the Nod, then you can order your Rifle whilst the variation goes through and you get your ticket back. that's what i do.
  21. +1 for the Rebel 17 excellent results with it.
  22. I have a Sako quad, brilliant little rifle, accurate, good trigger and lightweight.
  23. 44gr using Lapua SRP Brass though , so if using LRP Brass you would need to reduce your charge -1.5 grs
