  1. Most of them will be out with airgun range and it is always “perfectly windy” and I’d be shooting up towards an empty hillside. It would be nice to get a Pard, but can’t justify the cost. cheers
  2. Be interested in how it shoots. Will you get it cerakoted? Why did you choose a buttoned barrel?
  3. I’ve been saving for a T3 action and rebarrel in 6br, but all in, including cerakote, it’s coming in +/- £1500. Initially, I’d thought to supply my own donor, by buying a shot out rifle and selling off the stock, mag, trigger etc, to get some money back on that. It then evolved to buying a not so shot out .243 and putting a few hundred rounds through it, before getting it rebarreled and saving up a bit more. Now I’ve seen a nice T3 Varmint, with only a handful of shots through it, at half the price of a rebarrel. Question is, would I be disappointed with the 6brs ugly sister, when the 6br is so sweet and accurate? I don’t think my shooting is good enough to know the difference between a custom barrel and a Tikka, so not too worried about that I have plenty of 87gr Vmax, that should be good for a 1:10 twist. . Any advice from those who’ve shot both, would be most welcome Not worried about deer legal issues thanks
  4. PST 6-24x50 illuminated EBR-1 MOA ret in sfp. Excellent condition, with box papers., unused shims, bikini covers. £400 posted NOW SOLD
  5. I know barrels are “consumables”, but with a rebarrel at around £1k, and a hot .22, with a barrel life of 1000 rounds, that’s a quid a pop, on top of your 60p reloading cost....! This is not a cheap hobby we have
  6. I sold my single shot 6br and the sale for its replacement fell through. I hope to get another built on a T3 action, but it’s very costly, I’m saving my pocket money and it’s good to know there are ways to get it to feed 100%. It has to be one of the best all round chamberings. 1000yd capable, deer legal(just)low recoil, very efficient (30gr of powder) shoots a huge variety of bullets from 55-115gr and excellent barrel life.
  7. Have you looked at the ballistics of the .224 Valkyrie? that lobs heavy bullets a long way with very good barrel life. Unless money isn’t a concern, the short barrel life of a hot .22 would be a worry. If you can get a 6br to feed from a magazine, that would be worth considering.
  8. Your welcome:) I’d love this scope, but a little too pricey for me at the moment The tendency is for ffp and mils, I can understand why in regards to mils, but for many applications, sfp is still the better option
  9. Pete, I’ll take the remaining 39gr BKs, if I may. I have your payment details and will sort tomorrow. Thanks
  10. I bought a UTG neoprene cover off eBay, for a tenner, it’s about 15in long, before stretching it. It just about fits over my pm11 and has a couple of useless Velcro tabs to fasten under the scope. It just about covers the parallax and windage turret. I use it mainly for the cabinet, to avoid dinging the scope. If it wasn’t for the huge turrets on the pm11, it would be a better fit. If I use it out on the hill, I put a couple of elastic bands over each end, to hold it securely. HTH
  11. Thanks guys a torch it is, to start with and take it from there
  12. As new. FFP milrad, newest version with locking turrets. Box, papers etc lovely scope, I just prefer SFP £1100 + postage
  13. 2/3 to 1/2 of new price, depending on condition and amount of use.
  14. I have a friend who has a rabbit problem on his land and has asked me to help out. I’m new to nighttime shooting and don’t want to spend much money on it. Should I just try lamping, if so, which lamp would be good out to 80m, or would I be better going for a NV setup, if so, which model? Thanks
