  1. I’m thinking to sell my 6mmbr. It has a Barnard sm action with a 1:8 25 inch, fluted,Bartlein barrel, Jewel trigger in a GRS Sporter stock. The action is a repeater, but has a single shot adapter, barrel and action cerakoted Matt black, threaded 14x1 with a spigot and a Tier One rail. Shot count around 959-1000. Obviously very accurate and the action is very tight, but I’m selling to build a repeater. I’ll probably regret this. I’m looking for £1400 +rfd Thanks
  2. .223 through to .308 uses the short action, 6.5x55 and the magnums use a longer action, I’ve been told..... But yes, more info needed
  3. Hi Micky, this section is for reviews and questions, you’re better off posting this in the for sale section. Good price though.
  4. I would be interested in the .223 Forster seating die and the fl die.
  5. You did tell me that before Dave, I had forgotten and thanks for the explanation. I’ll have to think again, as to my choice of chassis as I’m pretty much stuck on the 6br.
  6. Some powder, bullet, primer combinations just work, but that also depends on what you’re shooting and your barrel twist rate. Vhitavuori powders are good and usually available. Sierra bullets are good in several weights for a .223 Federal primers 205M are good, as are CCI 450 If you’re looking for accuracy, then it might be worth buying Lapua brass, if not, Winchester, Remington etc are fine. As mentioned, check for consistent availability.
  7. Would I be correct in saying most .22br rifles seem to be shooting the lighter 53/55gr bullets? When the trend for .223s is to shoot heavier bullets. They are known to go through barrels fairly quickly, would having a faster twist and shooting heavier bullets slow down erosion to the barrel and what twist rate would be recommended? Thanks
  8. Thanks, that’s good to know, pity there’s not a better selection of aftermarket stocks for the Sako. The stock I’ve chosen is a Roedale, which may come with its own feed issues......
  9. That would make sense, thanks for the reply palo.
  10. It was over 2 1/2 years ago, so I doubt it. But 2nd dibs if it is
  11. Hi Lee, are you hoping to magazine feed a br case? I’m looking to get a 6br to mag feed but have been advised it won’t be straightforward. I’ve settled on a T3 as a donor action.
  12. I have an aluminium chassis for a Tikka T3, will a T3x be a direct drop in, even with the larger recoil lug? Thanks
  13. Hi Lee, did you find out the velocity loss? If so, I’d be interested to know, I have a plan for a .22br in the future. Thanks Paul
  14. Why would you only want one rifle?
  15. Are those the mounts that are included? Cos they don’t look like Optilocks.
  16. I picked up an XLR Evolution with an AR type buttstock, I have to say it’s very easy to get behind and comfortable to shoot, makes shooting with a classic hunting stock feel clumsy.
  17. Brand new, still in cellophane Vortex Viper PST 2 4-16x44. Nice optics, great turrets £675 for quick sale or px for PST 2 5-25x50 or something similar £950+ rrp
  18. SIG Sauer Tango 6 1-6x24 with the illuminated MRAD milling reticle. Excellent condition, no marks on tube or turrets and glass is 100%. Boxed with paperwork. Top quality optic £450 posted
  19. Took me 6 weeks to get 500 55gr Nosler. After 3 weeks I was told they were having trouble getting hold of them. I then emailed the company on 4 occasions,to ask for a refund, as I’d been forced to buy them elsewhere and no longer wanted them. My emails went unanswered and the bullets arrived 6 weeks after placing the order. I’d also ordered a bullet puller collet which I also needed in a hurry.
  20. I bought 1/4in UNF (28tpi) cap screws off ebay. They cost 1.99 inc postage. Not torx, but deep allen head.
