  1. It was good talking to you at the weekend Josh. Your barrel certainly performs but also looks good as well. We compared my proof research carbon barrel side by side to the C2. The the surface finish looked on par quality wise and is clearly a premium product.
  2. If you want to shoot 1000 yards then I like the look of 6.5PRC. Factory 147gr ELD-M at 3070fps.
  3. Ronin, You have become a dab hand with that carbon. I agree with Edi the ejection cutout is a lovely touch.
  4. What do you need the sling for? I am going to hazard a guess that it will be for carrying the rifle and not a control aid for shooting off hand. As such I can recommend the ProHunter sling from practical precision. It creates a very stable carrying position. https://www.practicalprecisionuk.com/product-page/pro-hunter-sling
  5. What length barrel are you using? a friend has 20” AT he has asked me to help load for. I have N150 and 175gr Sierra match kings but think a 155gr might be better from the shorter barrel.
  6. Ouch that is a lot of money for a reticle. Even as you say that’s for the license fee to fin Accuracy. if you went for a Schmidt reticle like the P4 fine I’m sure it would be cheaper.
  7. I haven’t seen Russ in here for ages. Is he still shooting?
  8. Is the .260 shot out? If not, get the idea out of your head. The issue with .260 is the restricted OAL when running 140gr bullets. Run 123gr bullets and chop the existing barrel. The .260 runs more powder than the 6.5 Creedmoor. As such will give good velocity.
  9. https://forum.snipershide.com/threads/new-high-power-nightforce-nx8.6936376/ I will try again with the link
  10. I considered it but went with the 5-20X50 ultra short. As per your findings it is a new scope with little user feedback. For me the price is too close to Schmidt money to take a risk. Also worthy of consideration are the new Nightforce NX8 scopes that have been leaked. A 2-20X50 and a higher mag that option I can’t recall details. Both are compacts, I’m struggling to find the topic at the moment. However rrp was $1950 which even at £1950 once over here sounds good and the weight is 28oz which is also a positive.
  11. https://www.practicalprecisionuk.com/product-page/pro-hunter-sling I use the pro hunter sling from practical precision on my rifle that has traditional sling mounts on the bottom of the rifle. It works well and is good quality.
  12. I bought mine last week from blackrifle.co.uk
  13. I have just fitted an Ergo Deluxe. Far bigger than the Magpul model that was fitted from the factory.
  14. We at UKV ask the right questions. Keep me updated. I’m not a dealer.
  15. I will go against Phoenix last post having seen the footage recorded and uploaded to Instagram by practical precision on a IOR scope with the 007 add on it looks good. If any one wants to send me a 007 to try on Schmidt PM2 I will record footage and share. We at UKV aren’t sponsored. It doesn’t help members.
  16. Good choice on the 3-20X50 Schmidt as a hunter you could also choose the 3 round Curtis mag. It is flush fit. We need to know the Max OAL
  17. Hot wire is the way to go. Far better results than electric knife. Check out YouTube I found this one with a quick search.
  18. Exactly why I said to consider the MSR-2 https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/01/14/finnaccuracys-multipurpose-sniper-reticle-ii-msr-ii/
  19. What about the MSR-2 it has the floating centre dot of the LRR.
  20. No, that item will just fit the T3. I also have a Sako TRG22 stock with a KRG chassis and TRG trigger. That I will sell. Just not sure on the price.
  21. Having sold my Sako TRG 22 I have the following items for sale. Spuhr 34mm 6.3mil Mount. This model is a direct mount to the Sako TRG dovetail and it will also work with the Tikka T3X in new condition. Sold Sako TRG 22 magazine. Has been ceracoated black. Sold Third Eye Tactical Tikka T3 20moa rail. Black. Sold KRG intergrated night vision mount. Sold Fortmier bipod with mount. Sold 6.5X47 brass still available £90/100
  22. I have had it confirmed that the models used on the NRA Accuracy International AT’s is the light weight alpine. They are not designed for range use and have done well but need replacing and will probably be replaced with the inconel ratchet model.
