  4. Currently the best mouse trap is the 6.5 Creedmoor. You will get the 6.5 Creedmoor in factory rifles and there is plenty of factory ammunition on the shelves. It handles the longer higher BC bullets in a short action magazine without imposing on the powder space. The other cartridge options that have been discussed are all viable alternatives. They just aren’t quite as good. Although I do like the 6.5X47.
  5. Well firstly it helps to read the for sale section rules for the forum or website you try to sell on. Many forums are free to join and offer the sales section to contributing members. There are paid for websites that offer the service of advertising firearms guntrader.uk and gunstar.co.uk are two I am aware of. I believe there are options on Facebook but I do no use that platform so cannot assist You have other options such as asking the rifle builder if he will take the rifle on or let his customer base know the rifle is up for sale. You will probably have more interest advertising the rifle and scope separately.
  6. Is this only advertised on Facebook and invitation? certainly looks lworthy of a road trip from north of the wall (M4) Small calibre's teach valid fundamentals
  7. Sadly I haven’t got it any more. The newer KRG look good and weigh less than factory I believe. They have a very big customer base state side. Might be worth posting on snipershide for feedback.
  8. Haha the joys of posting using my phone. The photos aren’t that big for me.
  9. Strange request you may think. I have run the Ase Utra Jet Z moderators for several years. I have one with corrosion and know that Jackson Rifles do a part exchange. The issue I have is the thread on the Jet-Z is recessed even on the non-spigot model I have in 18X1. This is a feature I am hoping is also present on the SL5i. Is the SL5i the same? I can’t find and photos on the web. I imagine the other non-spigot threads will all be the same spec as the 5/8X24 but that’s the thread I on my current rifle hence making a specific request. Input of experience of other threads appreciated as I know 5/8X24 isn’t popular here in the U.K.
  10. Please can you provide details. I have never heard of this event and the photos aren’t explanatory.
  11. I have had an item off rick. He is good to go. I’m sure there is an explanation.
  12. I should imagine 1800 will be within easy reach. As this will be used primarily for fox and small deer it will take me a very long time to reach that figure. I have no idea what the barrel life expectancy of the 6mmbr is. It is a lovely cartridge to shoot and I will always have a soft spot for it. But for 8” less barrel the 6CM will be easier to handle.
  13. I have used a .243 for years and agree it is a excellent round. With the good availability of 6CM brass I fancy a change As for 6mm being too much for fox, it’s not much bigger than 5.56. Plus I know CM feeds through the rifle. I think I’m going with 18” having looked at the link I posted. The 107’s are doing 2920 which is the same speed I’ve been running 105’s in my 6mmbr with a 26” barrel.
  14. I want a barrel to compliment my 6.5 creedmoor and .308 in my switch barrel setup. I want this for fox, I know controversial given most of the chat on here is target shooting 😂 I want to run a 20” barrel. Initially I was thinking 22-250 but don’t think it will perform well with a short barrel. I am now thinking 6 Creedmoor and run 87gr V-Max. I ran them in my 6mmbr to great effect and having seen this article I imagine it will be able to push them at a decent velocity. https://rifleshooter.com/2017/01/6-creedmoor-barrel-length-versus-muzzle-velocity-31-to-17-inches/ Any alternatives considered. It needs to be a .473 bolt face.
  15. Laurie Holland often posts on the stalking directory and has recently posted an excellent reply regarding a question I had about RS60.
  16. Good shooting. I really like the idea of sniper ftr. Makes it a bit harder.
  17. The saddle is too long for me unfortunately. It is an equal to spuhr.
  18. I like spuhr and have a couple of scopes in them. I have just bought a light weight scope and am looking for a suitable mount or rings. Spuhr on this occasion I don’t think will fit the bill. Well that was until I saw the hunter mount they have brought out...
  19. Thank you Dave that’s just the confirmation I needed.
  20. Does anyone run AICS magazines in a Tikka T3 .223? I remember seeing something about it not working with the original Accuracy International Plastic .223 magazines but I could do with first hand experience.
  21. I have had a similar issue with the same equipment. Not every case though.
  22. Was that a 6.5X47 die that skimmed the neck?
