  1. What Martin_B just said........ I re-scheduled my session last week. The range office were good enough to let me know when they confirmed that I'd be next to brakers due to lack of space, so I brought it forward a day. Pete
  2. That's why rabbit pie tastes so good..........😁 Pete
  3. Hot air gun and a can of freezer spray...warm all up and squirt the freezer spray into the brake. https://uk.farnell.com/electrolube/fre200/freezer-spray-aerosol-200ml/dp/2831666 Pete
  4. I squashed a few 6.5 cases when I started.......I now chamfer the ouside rim of the neck, run them gently into a 6BR body die until they stop, then switch to a Forster full size 6x47 die. Pete
  5. What RobinC just said...............worked for me and she also bought her own rifle. I still get lumbered with the re-loading though.........🤔 Pete
  6. Yeah, back in those dear dead days..............😢 Pete
  7. I swapped the Margolin for a DES 69, and we also had a Beretta, but the Margolin was the best of the three. Pete
  8. Not only milsurp.....back in the day, I bought a Margolin .22 self-loading target pistol which came in a fitted wooden box with enough spare springs magazines etc. to keep it going for a lifetime. https://revivaler.com/mikhail-margolin-target-pistols/ The whole thing was encapsulated in this stiff brown grease and wrapped in brown paper. When I read this post, I swear I could smell the stuff again.......... Pete
  9. Maybe the eager anticipation of a bit of "retail therapy" helps in these uncertain times........ Pete
  10. My COL is 68.5mm with 115grain DTACs, and 67.8mm with 105 Scenars.......gives a 0.5mm jump. Pete
  11. Sorry, 1850 ?? The std cartridge length is given as 71.12mm...
  12. Reamer is PTG 5/11, FIN, .2719NK, .140FB. Go gauge is PTG3/11 Used for 1 build. £75 posted (UK) Pete
  13. I just ran this through Quickload, and it comes up with "seating depth error" and "-3.68mm", so maybe the 75 grain vmax won't do it? What's your cartridge overall length and H2O capacity? Pete
  14. I imagine it would get pretty wet if you baled out into the sea wearing it, nevertheless, it was a life saver for some airmen............it's the actual wetting that prevents the water from penetrating. The cotton fibres expand causing any gaps between them to close tightly. Obviously, you wouldn't wear it in contact with your skin.....a merino layer(s) underneath would be desirable in cold windy conditions, especially if you're climbing or hiking. Pete
  15. Here's a UK maker of Ventile jackets https://hilltrek.co.uk/clothing/jackets/talorc-dv-jacket/ https://hilltrek.co.uk/clothing/jackets/glencoe-organic-dv-jacket/ It's an interesting stuff, apparently developed for the pilots during WW2. https://ventile.co.uk/history/ Attenborough wore one in some of his natural history documentaries. I looked at Tilak, but I'm afraid that the cost of importing one now would negate any price advantage. Pete
  16. Do you need to keep your foot on the brake pedal, and the ignition switched on while you're actually shooting? Or have I misunderstood something? Pete
  17. Sorry, I thought someone was looking for a recommendation for a target air pistol, not a specific model.... Pete
  18. http://www.vzduchovka.cz/katalogy/Aeron-B96-en.pdf A leftie one of these recently sold for £290. I have one (RH), and it's brilliant......very accurate, and 490fps with RWS R10 pellets....5 shot magazine, rapid fire.......... The CO2 cartridges are cheap. Servicing and spares for the guns are still available via www.sureshot-airguns.co.uk. They might even be able to help with sourcing one. Highly recommended but not easy to find. Pete
  19. And a bit more context: https://www.rt.com/news/515036-fossil-fuel-pollution-premature-deaths/ No vaccine for this, though....... Pete
  20. That time is unlikely to come. All the indications are that the virus is endemic...it has to be managed/worked around. Hopefully, the vaccines will facilitate this to a certain extent. Pete
  21. A lot of people are "carrying on as usual", which is maybe why the infection rate is so slow to recede........... Pete
  22. Dorg said: "and as value for money they could start with target maintenance...." I'll drink to that, particularly where the Intarso target frames are concerned............ Pete
