Grousekeeper84
What's everyone's opinion on the best centre fire moderator for ultimate sound deadening if weight/size isn't an issue?
Gandy
T8 for me personally.
Tuck
Ditto T8 takes some beating for sound suppression.
hunter87
Ase jet z compact for me
Tiff
The Brugger & Thomet end can on my .338 makes it feel like an un-braked .223 and is stupidly quiet for something with 100 grains of powder. Equally the MAE end can is pretty good, with the SL7 high up on the list as well for me.
Jagged 77
I like the SL7 and it does a great job on the .338 but I continue to be impressed with my Jet-z compacts. Shot some subsonics the other day in .308, it sounded like an air rifle. The same can also tames the recoil and noise of my 300WM.
andybrock
+ Another for the T8.
Offroad Gary
The big old T8, nothing ive heard comes close. Â Currently use sl5, spartan and maxim. Tried most.
Scotch_egg
Got to say the T8 is the best I have heard. Â Â I run jet z' and PES muzzle mounted mods though.
Brummy Mark
Vulcan defence stalker muzzle mounted, rated for full auto fire, you cant take it apart, just fire and forget. In the past i have used 3rdEye, Wildcat, B&T, Ase Ultra, balah blah, im happy so far, 2000 rounds through it, no problem for a bolt action. Bushdog
One more for T8. Don't have one any more (too heavy!!), but best I've used on .308 class rifles.
6.5shooter
Ase northstar is pretty good!
baldie
I,ve tried/owned most. Â The quietest i,ve heard with my ears has to be the One less charlie custom made mods.
jeffo223
+1 for onelesscharlie moderator's  Paul
happyhunter
Use ASE jetz and predator 8 mod both equally quite but each results in a different sound even when use on the same rifle if that makes sense. Looking forward to getting my grubby mitts on a sl5.
Tony.H
only ever used ase utra, so can not compare to others  tony
gaz6br
I'd say T8 but I've heard good reports about one less Charlie but not heard one as yet
223magic
+1 for onelesscharlie moderator's  Paul Tried most but for me its onelesscharlie especially on a .243.
fizzbangwhallop
Non-strip stainless OLC's for me on the .20Prac and the .17Rem....... very good, otherwise I've got Jet Z's on the .243 and the 300WM and I've no problem with them but as others have said the T8 takes a lot of beating.  cheers  Fizz

Davy
Another vote for the OLC suppressors. This was a prototype Reflex type with stainless front end and heavy wall aluminium back end to act as a heat sink. It barely warms up at all and is a superb bit of kit. dannywayoflife
Ase or olc. I do like the look at that mod Davy! I take it the ally acting as a heat sink means less poi change?
Davy
Danny, no change in POI and negligible heat rise, certainly no mirage over the last 4 months of 2013. This was at the 1100 yard point at BR and it usually works OK (6,5x47) to 1200 unless it is blowing a gale

mildot
I now only use ASE Jetz. I found these a lot better than T8 and stealth mods on .243, 270wsm, 7x64, 7RM and a 300WM
