Having never had a Tikka before I couldn't say, however I can say it is good enough that I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed one...................... which is unlikely as I nearly have too many already (based on the size of the Gun cabinet and nothing else)

Trigger was crisp, like the proverbial glass rod breaking, stock was perfect for the wet weather, it shot fine and I hit what I was aiming at. Benchrest reviews will need to be by someone else with more time and patience than me I am afraid. It's a keeper

Dunno, it's not Saturday yet I'm just going to stick a target up at 100 yrds and rest off the elbows , some sitting and some standing, so don't expect any benchrest comparisons

Good enough for me. I don't expect a lot for less than £500.

I have it on good authority that they are being released in the following order: 1. Devillishly handsome people first 2. Good looking people second 3. Not bad in a dark room third 4. FUGLIES last Which is why I was able to collect my 20" .22LR version this morning! All in all a very nice little rifle!

The more people who cancel, the quicker those that remain will get there's. I've handled the .17HMR as it is exactly as I expected, and felt like a sturdy, purposeful little rifle. In fact, for less than £500 I thought it was a bargain, which is probably why they were ordered so quickly. It's cheaper than the plastic 15/22 I bought, and I thought that was cheap. I suppose if you expect more for £500 you are either very hard to please, or Scottish! (edited to add, or a Northerner! )
  12. Compact torch with belt pouch and battery, also fits into Picatinny mounted holder, with separate end cap with pressure switch. Says Pistol torch on the box, but would suit vermin rifle. Brand new and boxed, Two available £15 + £4 postage

I expect the greater market for .22's is currently being serviced in the US, hence the only shipments to the uk, to date, have been .17hmr

    .22 tracer rounds

They were quite common in the 90's, but impossible to get now in the UK AFAIK I can recall going to a quarry range at dusk and blatting loads of these. VillaDave will probably remember too. We also had 12 bore aerial maroons (crow scarer rounds) which were a hoot fired along the ground
  18. I use 46grains of RS50 with a 155 SMK (2155) , in an L42 and an AI. Load recommended by Fultons. It did quite well at 1000 with the L42 recently

I'll dig them out for you Dave

    I am after a .223 / 5.56 AR15

What's it for? If it's CSR then the CISCAR wouldn't be competitive due to it's straight pull handle. IMHO. If it's for foxes, then it looks ideal. or give Mark Bradley a call and get exactly what you want
