  1. Love the single shot followers 👍. I want two for my Tac A1s , but can’t get them anywhere so this maybe something to look into ?
  2. If your not happy just send it back . And explain the situation and they will simply replace it with a new one. Im going to go out on a limb here and say theres a good chance it’s more you and your data that’s the problem not the scope . any problems you think you may have can easily be Identified with a tracking/ladder test ..
  3. I wouldn’t mind one but we’re inside the 3 miles of airbase / runway so not going to happen .
  4. 4 x 3M Bumpon Adhesive Rubber Bumper Protection Stick On None Slip Feet https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DWY89TY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5.pLCbCVWGM8E
  5. Place a small rubber grommet there. You can get self adhesive ones for couple of quid on amazon. Job done 👍
  6. I have 2 of them and love the pistol grip , suits my Hands very well , other types/ makes I have tried just don’t feel right , either too skinny or a bit unnatural feel to them , but hey it’s what makes the world go round .
  7. My next rifle will be a dolphin. Not cheap but you always get a bit more than you pay for .
  8. Front bag for me. However if I’m at my local club I tend to put a cheap front pod on just to hold my rifle while there is a ceasefire / target change if that makes sense.
  9. Have to admit I’m now a big fan of Mils. Also find ffp MRAD for hunting /varmint shooting to be a game changer. Like I said both are great systems. And one is no better than the other. Just a case of what suits you better and for me it’s deffo MRAD 👍
  10. So what do you favour and why ? personally I have always used SFP MOA and it’s always served me well. And still think it’s a great system, however i always tend to get myself in a bit of a pickle when trying to range find or more importantly try to work out the size of something, granted more down to having unmatched turrets/reticule on lower end scopes . Over the years I have been playing with FFP MRAD scopes and seem to get on sooo much better , I have put it down to the fact of being a bricklayer every day I’m working in mm/ meters so I think im just wired up in metric. ( yes I know MRAD is not metric in the same way MOA is not imperial, but they both correspond well to each system) anyway I have just taken the plunge and bought Two vortex 5x25x50 PST gen 2 scopes in FFP and with MRAD turrets and reticules , one for the tic tac .308 and the other for the other tic tac 6.5 creedmoor. so like I said what and why do you use ,
  11. I totally agree, I’m trying to get into these different disciplines but as a new shooter coming from a stalking/keepering/ pest control background for the past 40 yrs it’s slowly giving me the arsehole , I’m finding the red tape and attitude by clubs and ranges a bit demoralising, im more than willing to be a team player , I’ve joined a great little club . I’ve got my dates through to do my RCO course , then I’m doing another one for military ranges . However I’m having a bit of a mare trying to get my SSC sorted . Which is annoying me . All I want to do is shoot some distance!
  12. Just to say .. i ordered some redding comp dies from him over weekend , really helpful over the phone with some great advice and options , stuff turned up today 👍 have to say the whole transaction from start to finish ( inc the stupid question over the phone 10 mins ago , which was answered straight away with a very simple solution) was just effortless. Big thank you 👍
  13. Yeah I know , but you know what I mean ,if it had been anyway else or any other situation I would have left the shot and tried to get into a better position.
  14. Nice one bob , I had another little bugger last night , was a great shot in the sense of very clean kill . Was also a PB for me too , 309 yards straight in the bib , but to be honest there’s no bragging rights , although a long shot at night it was probably the easiest I have ever done , it was sitting at the bottom of the bank I use to zero my rifles so I know the exact range , and it was just sitting there looking at me , a kid could have made the shot .
  15. I have to agree with the above , get the hornet 👍 I have an old Bruno fox .22 hornet , it’s had a good few thousand rounds down it in its life time , but will still drop a Fox at 200 yards with a well aimed shot in the Bib . And when it finally gives up which will be sooner rather than later it will be replaced with the modern day 17 hornet Both of the above are very good calibres , very easily moderated , and very under estimated.
  16. I’m just finishing some sloe gin . I know what you mean , mine was a little old Diana .177 on my 7th birthday much to the disgust on my nan . At 8 yrs I got my first .410 ( little 3 shot norcia ) two weeks later I shot my first wood pigeon with my dad , decoying over laid crop . From that point on I never looked back . however, even though I’m back keepering I don’t shoot game . If I’m honest I tend to give my days away . I have never come home after a days game shooting and ever felt Iike I had earned it . I like the keepering side of things , but if I shoot something for the freezer . it’s got to be earned . So I just stick to my stalking , foxing , pigeon shooting, lamping rabbits . And like I said the targets are just good fun without hurting owt .
  17. No no no bob , targets/ gongs are just good fun . I’ve been shooting fur and feather for 40 odd yrs , I’ve started back keepering part time as well ( I said I wouldn’t bother again but ....)
  18. Just got back , dog at 207 yards with a nice clean head shot 👌
  19. Pete I don’t blame you mucker 👍 if I could get the time off I would be doing the same trust me . But there always seems to be someone who wants a house building 😁
