  1. Surely this must be a CYA policy statement for insurance or similar in case of accident as I can't see how this could possibly be monitored or enforced
  2. If we ever get back on to Salisbury Plain after this nonsensical attempt to ban 50 cals then joining FCSA or Offas Dyke will give you access to steels and reactives out to nearly a mile.
  3. Reading about exploding salts from moisture etc worries me!
  4. Well I need to see my 338 barrel out but might well look at 30 cal option. Still tempted by a sub 50 cal bigun!
  5. So consensus is that 300 Norma trumps 338LM re ballistics?
  6. Gents I am interested in a new build for 2019 IF Salisbury Plain comes back online..... can't honestly see myself going all the way up to Gardners to shoot as nice as it looks! I was thinking 375 CT or Barret 416 on the assumption that reamers etc can be had... its early days resesrch at present with no set-in-stone decisions. I know 2 of you and would doubt that you had chosen the 300 Norma without good reason..... do you mind sharing your decision process?
  7. I think the fix involves bushing the firing pin hole to a smaller size and honing the pin to suit rather than fitting an oversize pin. Again and per my earlier post...talk to Neil McKillop.
  8. Laurie Hollands review of Murom primers found that standard (non magnum) 223 Murom primers are no good over about 50,000psi of pressure....see Target Shooter website.
  9. I certainly find N560 good in 260 Rem with 140g Bergers and 30 inch barrel but have not tried anything heavier.
  10. Cienfuegos....no es probable que va a obtener una contesta a preguntas escribido en espanol. Puede traducirlos a ingles?
  11. Ditto that Dave...got one...expensive BUT absolutely value for money.
  12. You have a pm from me requesting price please?
  13. Having attended the RBL precursor match and the RRC & MQC... I feel the need for something like the Hog Saddle rather than simple cross-sticks or (going to the other extreme!) a Workmate which I saw being lugged onto the range. I have been talking to David at Shooting Shed about the potential for him to make something similar to the Hog Saddle and he is up for it IF a minimum of 12 orders were to arise. Anyone that has bought his various products will know that they are top-notch and I have also had a custom cheek piece made for my XLR stock which is a great improvement over the original which 'rocks' in its mounting! Would anyone be interested in a British-made saddle? Not gone into price yet but it would obviously have to be less that a US import plus associated costs....that will be up to David to determine if there is sufficient interest. Let me know.
  14. I second most of the above especially Dave at Valkyrie. and reloading solutions. For anyone in the area of Dauntsey Guns (Wilts / Glos) ...they are very good and well worth a visit / check on website.
  15. I reckon it shows the best of Daves outstanding skills with Duracoating...... and it shoots damned fine as well!
  16. Baldi Dave built this for me .... prettiest & most accurate 260 Rem stalker you could ask for!
