Just curious as to what scopes the best shots in the UK use, I know Nightforce, Sightron and March etc, But what would be the most common one ?

And who would be the best long distance shot in the UK and what would he use.

Many thanks

Definitely not the best shot in the uk but I like S&B PMII, Zeiss Diavari and Kahles. Didn't get on with NF that well to be honest though it did track very well

With more national championships than all of you (probably put together) I have used Leupold, Schmidt, March, Nightforce, Vortex, Aimpoint and Trijicon.

All have their merits and all have their drawbacks.

This from the best shooter ever, and I'm from Belfast so wouldn't lie

The best stalker in the UK is Donnald McDonald from Caithness (son of the legendary ghillie Donnie McDonald).

He uses his skill to get within a range where any scope is quite adequate.

I think most pro stalkers will use NF, Schmidt, Leup, Swaro.

Long range target (paper and biped) shooters will be using NF, March, Leup, Schmidt

As to who is the "best", surely thats somethings that can't be quantified...

A scope that is robust, holds it zero and as you get older is light.

My favorite scope having reached my sixth decade is a Ziess 3x9x36, superb optics, light and perfect out to 200 yards.
