this all seems to be getting a little silly now. time will tell...... I have my own opinion from personal experience of the partys involved here , I have a gut feeling that the truth will out , maybe not on this forum as it's rather unfairly edited in a bias fashion but ultimately the truth will out...….

seeing how well you did last year mate and how badly some of the internet shooters have done i'm inclined towards your method , it's easy to make hits when typing at a keyboard but in reality under pressure during the stage most plans turn to ratsh1t and it's the shooters that can react organically under pressure doing it for real that score well. and well done young jedi for some brilliant performances last year !

it's quite simple to me , rather than moan about how expensive you think it is just go or don't go as it's entirely voluntary ? the very fact that it repeatedly sells out says a lot about the PRL and the effort tiff has put in. it's in it's infancy here in the UK and I personally think we as shooters should support it rather than snipe insidiously in the background , even if we can't/won't go what is the point of undermining it? re the SIS , I'm afraid due to well documented reasons I'm afraid I and a large proportion of current PRL shooters will not attend until certain irregularities are corrected by the organisers but if that was done then there is many who relish a shooting challenge and would be happy to attend and support all shooting in the UK. if you want to shoot the PRL you can just shoot that , the ELR is optional currently , on top of that you can do it on a budget , there is usually camping available or the bunkhouse at tiffs roundhouse venue , and kit wise if you can shoot well and your rifle is capable of 0.75moa you can win , a 0.2moa rifle will help your confidence but won't win PRL matches on it's own. so to sum up , try and find ways to support the PRL and shoot the newest most challenging and fun series in the UK rather than run it down ? also looking forward to a 22PRL !

we all jumped in at the deep end last year although many of us have been shooting at the roundhouse for years , ultimately you just need to get your kit and come along , I've seen hunting rifles all the way up to full race guns and AI sniper systems , the scores didn't always reflect the type of kit and that's the beauty of the PRL in my opinion

running my standard 260 at 2850 with 140amax over N560 it was less than 3000 , I doubt the AI will improve that ?

2680fps with factory 140eld-m from a 20" bartlein , I have just mortgaged some 135 A-tips and will report on my findings once I dust of my reloading gear !

I shoot a 20" creedmoor , I get 2680fps from 140g ELD-M factory ammo , good out to 1000m yes i'm still shooting , loving the PRL because it's exactly the challenging type of shooting I enjoy with lots of cool shooters and not many choppers ! I re barrelled my 260 to creedmoor , when it needs another re-barrel I will go creedmoor again , it suits me better than 260

i'm late to the party but I've only just seen this as I don't frequent ukv much now but my kit - rem700 action blueprinted with big knob and 20'' bartlein barrel (best barrel I've ever had) hardy stealth moderator all pillar bedded into a PSE composites tac stock , i'm running aics mags but have had it modded for the double stack mags (ai) but i'm not happy it will feed reliably under pressure whereas the aics are boringly reliable! I use the 6.5 creedmoor and factory 140 eld-m ammo I did 'ok' I feel I let my kit down not the other way round and I have brought some bags as I found them very useful ? i also use this rifle as my primary stalking rifle. next year i am hoping to have a dedicated PRL rifle , likely an MDT chassis and bartlein barrel running aics mags in 6.5 creedmoor with a brake as they seem popular and it's pointless me being the only one with manners! general closer positional stuff i'm confident with but my wind calls at longer range are dubious so that's where i'm going to focus my practice , as a side note i have lost weight and i'm working on my fitness for next year as well. as for pricing , i'm happy enough as i recognise it's not a cheap sport , i will not comment further as i have an iron in the fire regarding stolen funds.

I have a 300rum which I built to replace a 338 lapua when they were banned on gallery ranges , I am achieving 3260fps with the 208 amax , I shot alongside JMH at the roundhouse ELR and have to say his rifle was a hammer! and although he wasn't getting my velocity those 225 eld-m's he was using really seemed to carry their energy better ! I would likely go 30nm when I change my 300rum , and having had a 338lapua whilst it is a good round I wouldn't go back for ELR use , in fact I would likely go big 7mm for ELR and manage without the recoil etc

I was happy to turn up and did to a number of prl events , I lost money at the Gardner’s event because I paid up front then after it was cancelled at there venue they refused to refund me although they did refund others bad form and detrimental to shooting in general , very short sighted !

The only possible way I will bury the hatchet with Gardner’s is if they refund the money they have stolen from me the op of this thread was refunded as we’re others but there is a number who for reasons known only to Gardner’s will not be refunded , there is a lot of support for a boycott of Gardner’s over this yet it is such a simple fix by Gardner’s so if detriment to the sport of shooting is to be layed at anyone’s door it is Gardner’s. they and they alone can fix this.

you'll be fine to shoot your kit , the important thing is to come along and have a go ! it REALLY helps if you have a sense of humour !
