  2. I would doubt Garmin would provide world wide cover for the products no matter where they were bought. You might not be covered by UK Consumer Law for products not purchased in the UK but why risk damage to Brand reputation, especially in the modern world of Social Media, by not providing worldwide warranty. I would suspect its a rouse by UK importers and prospective retailers to put people off from purchasing from elsewhere (yet they cannot currently supply the product). You may have to send your Xero C1 to a Garmin Service Centre as I suspect if you took it to a Garmin Retailer in the UK they would probably not be very helpful. Not different to buying a Garmin GPS abroad http://www.gpsinformation.net/main/garwarranty.htm
  3. No, I did not speak to them but they have changed their website software and as a result there are no shipping options outside of the USA for that product.
  4. I got one from Area 419 but they will no longer, at Garmin’s request, ship the Xero to the UK
  5. Heard a rumour that Garmin have asked Dealers there that the Xero C1 Pro not be exported from the Continental USA, just confirmed on Area 419 website that there are 'no shipping options' available for the Xero C1 Pro for a UK address.
  6. My take away was that if you want a tuner get one, if you believe it is contributing to a reduction in group size then that's great and that belief will boost your confidence in your equipment and ammunition; all good positive factors in your mental preparation for a match. Statistical sample size was clearly emphasised and trying to claim a provable benefit from a single 3 or 5 round group must be taken with a pinch of salt; they (the Hornady Ballistician) used nearly 1000 rounds in their tests and his conclusion was that a turner adjustments had negligible effects on group dispersion. The retired Ballistician said he had run nearly 30000 simulations (of lots of factors) and found that the small displacement of mass by adjusting a Tuner a a small amount at the end of a barrel had negligible effect on predicted group dispersion. I have a Tuners on a couple of barrels and I am not convinced that they make a difference in the very limited testing I have done, but limited testing produces limited results.
  7. Having used both .338 and 6mm Bullets with Noserings with very good results I thought I'd give this a try. Came with a full set of Collars, .22, 6mm, .25, 6.5mm, 7mm, .30 and .33
  8. Not a UKPSA members since before the Pistol Ban, lots of shenanigins about 12 years ago and disputes between the NRA and Four4islands but it looks like they, the UKPSA, are still??
  9. They are 5.56mm NATO not .223 Rem and the flash holes on those are drilled not punched so they should not need to be deburred on the inside, good brass though.
  10. Too early to say for me but I have both so can compare, plan at the weekend is to set up for .223, followed by 6XC, 33XC & 300NM.
  11. Arrived, mounted on an Inline Fabrications Quick Change Mount, I'm keeping my Forster Co-Ax. Die set up at the weekend for 6XC, .223, 300NM and 33XC.
  12. Looking at other Garmin products I expect it will be the equivalent GBP amount for 599 USD at time of release in UK/Europe if a EU compliant model is available. One UK Retailer did quote a potential customer £820 for one.
  13. Well the Duty & VAT were less than expected, even with Shipping Costs I've saved over £700 on what it would have cost to source the items in the UK, although you do have to factor in the significant Black Friday Discount from Area 419 that is not directly available here in the UK.
  14. Just had a look at prices and they are significantly higher than the discounts that were available with Brownells and what is currently available now, by way of example a 500 count Box of 77 SMKs with Cannelure is £194.90 (in the BF Sale they were £166.63) at Brownells Uk and that same from HK is £233.30, plus Brownells ship for anything over £100 whilst it will cost you £5.00 extra with HK.
  15. PRS Matches really have unknown distance targets as it's far too hard to police and prevent some gamey competitors surreptitiously using a Range Finder. Most Matches give you distances to the Targets in the Match Pamphlets in both yards and metres.
