  1. 140 elds @ 2800 fps , Sako TRG 6.5 CM like a laser-beam
  2. I do the same , normally order 3-4 KG same batch and mix 👍 the biggest problem with RS 62 is trying to keep consistent MVs in Warm / cold days can be as much as 50/60 FPS . the best temp tolerant is RS60 but to much of a trade off for me .
  3. yeah .. its a couple of hrs down the A68 .. its takes me 3 1/2 to Bisley I would gladly swap .
  4. Why don’t you just go to BISLEY AT BRAIDWOOD – SCOTLAND ?? not far from you in MidlemNr Selkirk its pay and play too , fantastic place . https://www.bisleyshooting.co.uk/our-grounds-bisley-sporting-group/bisley-at-braidwood/contact/
  5. yes its a beautiful piece of glass and getting harder to get hold of too . its the Z Comp 527 its getting quite a following in the states on the PRS scene . I have a swaro X5I S&B PM11 Kahles K525i Leupold Mk 5 HD and acouple of PST gen 2 ,and yes while there all very good in there own ways and all very good in certain situations and lighting conditions the Z comp does it all and beats the all in everyway . Hands down best glass I’ve owned . they only make 2 scopes ... thats it https://www.zcompoptic.com/
  6. What ever tikka T3 you buy your change the stock at some point. There are just to many options to swap stuff out. The same goes for the remmy 700bIt’s have the fun. the only thing that’s tikka left on mine is the action.
  7. I think your n135 may be a tad fast for the ELDs a slower powder would be better for the heavier, I found the N140 a bit slower and does the job if you want to stick with Vihtavuori 👍 the TRG went very well ….. a little too well 😂 I found some RS60 and made up 15 rounds , I had one Fox , there’s no way I can post the pic but rest assured they were very humane. they were 143 grain ELD x and where popping out the end at 2850 FPS which is a handy MV .
  8. if your not getting pressure signs crank it up a notch
  9. TV license £795.00 for 5 years OR FAC and SGC £111.00 for 5 years ( renewal) docs report say £65 average for 5 years total of £176 for the same period or £35.20 a year its hard to work out which one is the bargain …. A fair number of Shooters do make me chuckle , on my shoot days I will have people turn up in £90K Range Rover wearing £1000 of crap and a shotgun worth 3-10K , pay £300 for a day , then another £50 on a meal , all while bitching to me that the price of cartridges have gone up £10 per 1000 FAC holders are no different, we don’t think twice about spending hundreds of pounds on reloading crap that we seem to think we need . A doctors charge for service is just insignificant and lost within in the £££ we spend in five years 🤣 my village doctors charge me £55 to sign off my tickets and I’ll be honest and say I have no problem with it . After all we’re effectively asking someone to ( for want of another word ) vouch for us , I would certainly not be happy to put my name and professional opinion maybe career to someone’s name . Just my opinion.. but it is what it is .
  10. I had one of these little stunners in 22-250 back in 2002 ... hands down the best tikka I have ever owned, and IMHO the best tikka they ever made to date . .222 is a fantastic cal too .
  11. We also need to keep in mind that current policy also works and seems to work well . hamliton , bird and now this chap ALL had there licences revoked when alarm bells started to ring and all firearms where removed in line with guidelines , but all managed to get them back again and then they committed there respective crimes , the failing seems to be in the giving back bit , maybe this is the area in which the police need to be looking . just saying ..
  12. There’s a bit more to it than that , for one Incel is not on a watch list , maybe a different story now though , the police have been banging on for years about telling shooters NOT to post pics of there guns or shooting adventures on Facebook or other social media. there’s been countless campaigns all over the country by forces regarding this. the police have been revoking licences on content they have been posting for a long time . https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-west-wales-38703555 https://www.politics.co.uk/opinion-former/press-release/2017/02/07/think-before-you-tweet-basc-urges/ https://www.yellowad.co.uk/conditions-added-to-chingford-pub-licence-after-gun-post-on-facebook/ and the police can and have revoked licences through association on social media . Ie your friends list . They don’t like you having known criminals listed in your friends list . in Lincolnshire they are very hot on this , they even have a name for it “ revocations by association “ they trawl through all of the shooting sites .We even have police on here .
  13. It’s nothing new , they have been doing it from day one .
  14. I like the .223 it’s a nice walk about /tractor gun , quiets down nice which is handy around my sheep and horses . Mik throated mine for 80 grain Amax . anyway I’m going to shut up because I’m hijacking .
  15. Still not too shabby mate. I’d take it …… well the second one 😁😁 I did similar. Mik re barrelled my .223 with a 1-7 Bartieln. A couple of weeks ago. He asked me to let him know if it’s a shooter. After I zeroed I only had one target left that had been kicking about in the back the truck for weeks. first shot I was caught out by new trigger haha next beautiful. Still sent to Mik. I won’t repeat his response 😳
  16. Give the S20 a swerve matey , it looks and feels like it’s been made from the recycled dashboard of a mini metro . it’s Also got to be the most un-upgradable rifle in the history of Sako rifles . Don’t get me wrong I must be Sako’s biggest fan , the only rifles I own are Sako and Tikka in all the years of shooting but …. It’s like the S20 along with the 85 black wolf just doesn’t know what it wants to be when it grows up . Sako tried to design a rifle that you could use stalking in the highlands one day and on the range or your local friendly PRL shoot the next day by swapping out and changing various bits and bobs …FAIL … while yes you can spend a fortune buying all the bits for it to make the transition but . There all Sako mods and yet again so very limiting . You can’t even change the Rail on it , I’m going to leave it there but just don’t rush in 😂 the tikka Tx3 and the REM 700 platform have smashed the non- custom rifle route to absolute bits . there are so many upgrades/mods for these two readily available. blimey you only have to look at the thread on here called “ show your varmint rifle “ and just take a look at the Tikka and REM based rifles , most would hold there own if not out perform many high end rifles . My old RFD was the one of the very first Sako accuracy dealers in the country ( he’s dead now 😟) once told me that on his first trip to the factory when Tikkas were starting to become popular, he asked the chap who was showing around . what’s the difference between Sako and Tikka then ? the man looked him in the eye and said … the Sako is your wife , the Tikka is your mistress treat accordingly 😂 it was mostly likely bull5hit but hey . the CTR will shoot the same as the Sako S20 but handle twice as good .
  17. Smashing scope and a very fair price, would make an excellent foxing/ lamping scope . good luck with sale .
