If your going old school I would take a look at the 8x56 . One of the best scopes for what you have in mind and used be nearly every keeper in the land at some point. What sort mag do you use when lamping ? I take it you are lamping as that scope won’t be any good with an add-on .

It maybe worth remembering that Peterson brass is ( all the Peterson brass I have and still use ) it’s quite a bit thicker and has a slightly lower case capacity than say lapua brass and quite a few other makes. As such it will give you higher pressures , so you may very well find that starting the normal 10% lower on your work up loads may well be near your max load with the Peterson brass . just keep it in mind . 👍👍

Your be fine with that data , just work your loads up . the bullet weight does NOT have to be exact , as with all data it’s ONLY a starting point for you to work from.

Right before anyone asks .. no I have not had chance to do a video yet ( I will do one before weekend, just flat out at min ) but in the few times I have had chance to play with it , I’m properly impressed with it , even the IR that comes with it is really good up to 150 m on bunny’s . Bung a decent laser on it and this unit really does come to life. Standard pulsar IR for bunny’s out too 125-150 m ✅ Fox shootable at 300m with aftermarket laser ✅ fox ID at the quoted 500m ✅ white out problems of previous models sorted ✅ zoom function actually useable at long distance ✅ colour picture ✅✅✅✅✅ use in dusk picture is still like daylight in the right mode ✅ I’m using it with a pulsar helion XP50 pro I believe this is going to be a fantastic combination in the field. is the NV image better than my old drone …… no . But it’s 100% with all the other benefits of a modern piece of tech In summary the C50 will be the new king .

With 850 ir as I want it when it’s on the rimfire . I use a Solaris laser when on C/F 👍

Richard utting has just dropped this vid. It was recorded a while back using a preproduction model. The issue with the screen freeze function on the zeroing has been sorted. Been using mine all weekend and will post some footage when I have time and settings are all sorted to my liking my old drone is going on the evil bay tonight ( the king is dead )

The towers are 1250 metres away. According to the chap recording it . if so I’m very happy if that’s what I’m going get that sort of quality image 👍

No worries. personally I use 175 grn Lapua scenar L @ 2750 fps on the range. ( great fun but not competitive) And Berger 168 grn classic hunter in the field .

Popped to my local shop and was told that I should be getting my C50 middle to end of next week.

Neil. let me know if you do want to do some testing. I have 130 grn (6.5 ) and 175 grn (308) I will send you 20 of each so you can try them .

Your not wrong. The actions on these are genuine vault like. mine had a laminate stock.

Very tasty 😍 I had one in 22/250 back in the day , very accurate rifles in there standard form so no doubt this will be a real shooter .
