  1. Thanks @No i deer That’s really not good to hear. I want to use the rifle for deer as well so if the bullet doesn’t reach the target it’s a bad day in the office. I think the 175gr ELD-X are too long for mag feeding in the SAUM built on a short action. I could look at the 160 class but the ballistics just aren’t as good and one load would be a lot less messing about.
  2. As the Berger Hydrid appears to be very scarce on the ground I have been looking at alternatives. The Hornady ELD-M 180gr look good on paper but the reports of them not making it to the target are putting me off. any recent reports of quality improving or are people still avoiding?
  3. @blaserripper has been flagged as spammer due to this issue.
  4. Getting actions is the issue. You could try a personal import from America. You could even have the rifle built over there.
  5. You have hit the nail on the head. It’s come down to money again.
  6. A middle man with experience and knowledge of running the type of course of fire. Beats me why they would want that 😂
  7. The Q trigger looks good for a “real” AR15. the re-set is supposed to be very quick. https://liveqordie.com/literally-the-best-trigger-ever-made/
  8. @Alycidon I am sure this user has a 20br with the correct twist
  9. No idea who AmonAmon is but probably a sheikh with all that money and free time. I’ve lost interest in his exploits to be honest. No better than any other social media influencer. Buying records and bragging doesn’t interest me. As already mentioned at least his wealth keeps the peasants fed. As for the craft of the over ornate rifle, its art at the end of the day. Functional but over the top for my taste.
  10. Yes I remember them. Prices have just gone through the roof. But not consistently across the board.
  11. The user name in the header isn’t coming up. Please forward me the PM and user name to look at.
  12. And I’m sure we can get more 😁 There is something about the Fix. I love how it folds so compactly for travel and getting in and out of vehicles. They shoot very well and the trigger is crisp as a glass rod. had I not got one I would be buying this. Price is very good.
  13. Very nice mate. I’d be happy with what you have got. I’ve just picked up a Rimfiremagic 10/22 and now I’m regretting that and wishing I had bought a bolt action. We all live and learn.
  14. The US state department will not allow the export of silencers for civilian use. This is why we don’t see any US made silencers in the U.K.
  15. After years of completing all my maintenance just using the bipod in the rifle I recently picked up a Tipton ultra gun vise. I have no experience of the others available but what I will say is they are heavy and hold the rifle firmly place. What I wouldn’t want is something that is lightweight. It’s good because I can move it. https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/tipton-ultra-gun-vise However what I would say is if you have an existing vise something like this for clamping the barrel would be a cost effective way of clamping the rifle. Don’t be scared of clamping a barrel as most gunsmiths do it. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1250615920/barrel-vise-adapter?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_a-craft_supplies_and_tools-tools_and_equipment-tools-fastening_and_attaching-clamps_and_vises&utm_custom1=_k_CjwKCAjwv8qkBhAnEiwAkY-ahhhTJhFnbw6OGqY11VjUekwHby4EPwfdDccLn-y6dL37EerW3DtpJxoCCQEQAvD_BwE_k_&utm_content=go_12576471064_122334790449_507597625827_pla-296992081170_m__1250615920engb_102858184&utm_custom2=12576471064&gbraid=0AAAAADutTMfIHJ-aUHshTB5g8Cyh6UKdp&gclid=CjwKCAjwv8qkBhAnEiwAkY-ahhhTJhFnbw6OGqY11VjUekwHby4EPwfdDccLn-y6dL37EerW3DtpJxoCCQEQAvD_BwE
  16. Great prizes I have just purchased some tickets. Good luck to all the competitors.
  17. What a shame these can’t be fitted to the rimfire magic 10/22. They do look the part.
  18. I must say the price of the Sabatti rifles are good. I definitely think the whole MRR marketing is snake oil. but if they shoot well and are cost effective crack on. The 6.5 creedmoor performs well for its size. But it’s all about what your objective is. Putting more rounds down range or having a better cushion for that one round that counts at extended range when you are relying on your wind call. The .308 will be a similar cost to load for as a 6.5 creedmoor so it makes sense to move it on. Just be prepared to take the hit on depreciation of a secondhand rifle. It is safe to say the 6.5 creedmoor is the ford transit of the shooting world right now.
  19. The 6.5X47 really is a sweet shooter. I must admit I was expecting one of your 7 mils. I have stuck with the 6.5X47 and will be trying some 140gr bullets in a barrel I have just collected. I have been shooting 130gr for years. But want to see if the. 140’s will fly fast enough to make the most out of the BC advantage.
  20. I swapped BR4’s for murom KVB-223M with no difference in group size. However I did see an increase in velocity.
