  1. Admin aware and trying to rectify. The software has recently been upgraded. It’s causing headaches behind the scenes as well.
  2. Yes. The problem seems to have arisen since IOS 16 upgrade on my iPhone. It’s being looked into.
  3. Nightforce NX8 2.5-20X50 Mil-CF2 reticle mil based reticle Turrets are also Mil Boxed This scope is in excellent condition. I’ve bought a ZCO and this needs to go. £1350 plus post by Royal Mail Special Delivery expect £10 Please note this is the Mil-CF2 reticle so it matches the turrets. Incorrect one stated in initial advert.
  4. Certainly was. I still think I only know of one other than this in the wild though. Unsurprisingly the price puts people off.
  5. Fear not John, Edgar brothers are the official importers. All spares available. It is a niche product that has its uses. mine has been going well for a few years now and has accounted for it’s fair share of deer. 😁
  6. If you are travelling to Bisley why don’t you try CSR. It can be shot with your AI. It’s still on a square range but shot in different positions which creates a new aspect to the scenario. Shooting on your belly in a stable position on a range with sighted shots really does become boring. Especially when you have been doing it for 12 years. Then there is PRS which is now also being ran at Bisley along with other locations in the U.K. which will obviously require a lot more travelling, however it gets you off the square range template. of course there is also F class competitions that your rifle could also qualify for but I don’t have any experience in this type of shooting discipline. How about a spot of deer stalking? Your rifle might be more suitable for, shall we say other targets, however at least you know it will be accurate. All of these formats will open you up to different groups of people and hopefully a joint interest which will give you a new lease of enthusiasm.
  7. The only issue I foresee is is having to create the opening in the chassis for the position change. I have never had an issue with the position of the TRG safety catch. I’ve ran one on a TRG and on a Tikka T3 for several years now. No longer have the actual TRG moved it on for an AX.
  8. Some might say he is the most handsome man in Yorkshire

  9. Just saying like

  10. To answer your question bluntly. Yes you can. It will be subjective and the Licensing manager responsible for the individuals licensing area will review the continued authority to posses firearms on a case by case basis. An arrest for any offence needs reporting for review no matter the outcome; Release without charge/out of court disposal/Court
  11. Seeing as there is a lawful right to protest and if conducting yourself within the law then there should be no lawful arresting going on….
  12. They certainly do @banus02 even though a recent scammer had been on 2 years and had 30 odd fairly decent posts. caveat emptor when anyone replies to a wanted advert.
  13. It looks great on paper. It appears to have gathered a significant following up north. I went 6mm creedmoor and will probably go 22 creedmoor next time.
  14. The warg is so similar to the Beserk but with the different forend. The NV bridge is useful the hunters in the state who use front add on NV. Over here it really isn’t any use as the front mounted NV are usually better used at low magnification and don’t suit fox shooting at any real distance. The NV bridge shouldn’t affect sight picture unless using very low magnification X1 or X2. The Beserk stock used to retail at half the price of the Warg. No idea what the rrp is now days though. It might save you some money if you don’t need the forend that takes accessories. 16.5” barrel is pretty short and would put most people off. I’m not experienced enough to really comment however when I was looking at chopping mine down I did find that it lost out considerably in the wind beyond 600m. That’s with a fast twist and heavy bullets. If it’s a slow twist shooting lightweight bullets you really are going to struggle to be happy at 800m. i am sure some one will be a long that shoots CSR with a 16.5” barrel regularly who can provide actual experience.
  15. Interesting thoughts on secondary poisoning. It’s usually lead being the primary cause of death you hear about when it concerns raptors. I am aware it takes very little lead to be poisonous.
  16. Interesting choice of calibre. Why the swift? I am not up to date with brass availability and the case rim is rebated with the case body thinner than that of the usual suspect 22-250 and the new kid on the block 22 creedmoor, contrary to popular belief no man bun is required before or after obtaining a variation for this calibre. This means you have to be mindful when loading the magazine that the rims are stacked so not to get stuck on the rim below. I also believe that the longer the cartridge won’t achieve a decent powder burn under 24” it would be worth running some quickload data to see at what point complete powder burn can be achieved. I am finally getting out with my dad and his 22-250 next week to chronograph some 53gr V-max loads out of his 20” 1-8 barrelled Tikka T3. Might be worth seeing the results. As the 22-250 is usually within 100fps of the Swift. the 22-250 brass is readily available from a variety of manufacturers. We will be using virgin Winchester brass. This brass was the preferred brass of David Tubb for forming his 6XC so I’m hoping it will give adequate results for fox and vermin. I am intrigued by your bullet choice though. Why are you choosing a non lead bullet? Unless it is for shooting on land where the land owner expressly demands it, for vermin and fox I would be sticking with the lead options for now. A fast twist would be sensible should a ban come into force but for now lead is widely available and will perform better on light bodied animals and birds especially. A 1-7 twist might be a little fast for some of the lighter bullets as the jackets are thin and the bullet may disintegrate due to the centrifugal forces of rotation. But premium bullets such as the 53gr V-max should not be a problem at all. There is also the option of loading heavier bullets to really beat the wind, after all drop is easily calculated these days with range finders and ballistic software giving rapid solutions and let’s be honest if taking extended shots you usually have the added time created by the distance to make those calculations. Although faster twists do create better results on impact when it does come to bullet expansion resulting in excellent terminal results. This has recently been further explored in the development of the 8.6 blackout and the extremely aggressive twist rates being used with it now being offered in 1-3 twist rates. Last but not least you will need to run a long action for the swift. Not a big issue but one you need to be aware of when choosing a donor action and subsequent accessories like magazines and floor plates. A non issue if choosing a Tikka T3 donor as they are all long action.
  17. You definitely chose to leave some out there 🤣 the question was should the OP sell all his rifles that all clearly have purpose and just have an AI. If I could only have one rifle it would be something based on the Tikka T3 action. As I imagine the only reason I would have one rifle is due to being broke. Oh wait I am with so many rifles 🤣🤣🤣 The T3 shoots “adequately” to coin a phrase used regularly by a certain person to honestly do everything and be built as a jack of all trades. Probably in a fast twist 6mm finished at 21.75” from the bolt face. https://www.angelfire.com/ma3/max357/houston.html save hard buy the AI be even happier.
  18. I have stalked Chinese water deer in Norfolk, it’s flat, with my AX. Even with a rucksack sling it was heavy. Like @Ronin positional takes a little more time to get stable as there isn’t the wide base. Although the handguard is closer to the barrel. I have had a 20 Tac in an AICS chassis, it soon had a chassis change to a traditional stock. It just wasn’t great off sticks and really high off the wing mirror. I’ve also had an AT. As a range rifle I actually loved it. Likes shooting the PRS style comps buts again not good out after deer. Heavy to get onto sticks and once on them heavy to balance when waiting. @jcampbellsmithhas a very valid point. Even when making notes on scope turrets and witness marks on the action and barrel checking zero would make a lot of sense. I had a blaser with several barrels and even though the return to zero was bob on every time I had to do it for my own personal sanity. I have tried the one rifle route with the Fix rifle by Q. Suffice to say I’m back to 5. The saying “beware of the man with one gun, he knows how to use it” is all good and well. If he only uses it for one thing. There is certainly something special about the AI action, it feels far better than every custom rifle I’ve handled @Roninsings the praises of the AT-X, ask him how many rifles he owns 🤣 although I should be encouraging you to sell all your rifles. One calibre I’ve owned a couple of and miss is the 6mmbr, so I’m. Interested to see what it is you might have on offer 🙈
  19. The rifle looks cracking especially with the green on green. I will have a closer look at the virtus eagle. I use a 16” .308 so the expansion at low velocity will me good for me.
  20. Seems like a shooter. any more details, which AI model rifle was it?
