  1. thnx catch im off to look at reviews of heated sonic cleaners - like you say i think iv accidentally breathed in the harmful dust before which could be contributing to odd health , i ideally need one for cleaning carburetta parts too so sounds ideal . iv always thought about getting one but never did .
  2. hi folks , after some advice on what i can use as theres new ish pins and now chips being used for brass cleaning . I must say i have a vibratory lyman turbo 1200 so the std type . Im unsure if i can use pins or chips in this - trouble is i think the chips are supposed to be used wet etc. if possible id like to switch to chips as they seem to be the best at brass cleaning . iv read quite alot of differing stuff but thought id just ask here to my darling forum members 😇 thanks in advance
  3. depends what are you wanting ? ultimate precision or average ? im not saying lee wont deliver good accuracy . iv used them when i started loading but i only use redding type S bushing for the neck . a body / shoulder bump die . and competition seating die . they will cost way more than lee but you know they produce straight ammo as in 3thou run out worst case . so it may be a price factor to it . lee is prob worth a try , as i could produce really good accuracy once you have found / tested a good few loads ? but good luck to it
  4. Nice mini mauser action, i though my 527 was a bargain 220 : ( what make is the rail ? id prefer this to say a factory tikka t3 . Nice looking rifle . simon6ppc on tube uses the tmk in his 223 sako with great affect. Think he's the same guy on here with same name . Good luck with development i hope its a tack driver.
  5. I doubt it - but think alycidon has a 20 br not quite the same but they fairly specialist cals - have you got one ? Or one on the way ?
  6. Hmm this got me thinking, as he starred in a short movie with Rosie Jones - im trying to put a caliber on Laurie Holland? Thoughts ? as i never met him - may he chime in ?
  7. Quite amazing but can't help thinking it may be less traumatic and quicker with a well placed bullet. I think most of us on here hunt in one way or another - just dont like seeing any animal suffer. eg- Why im against 17 for foxy personaly-.. But realize it may have a place in certain countrys / senario . Atb
  8. TY terry i did think it must be a small company - good for him being busy too at these times
  9. Love the tungsten finish, im wondering why is there a shortage of the sentinel? If there's demand there - which im sure there is ?
  10. You should ideally make a few test rounds and watch for pressure signs on the case head and primer edge especially . If you reach high pressure signs on either thats not your safe forming load in my mind . You should reduce . BUT you may not get the case shoulder to form 100% so a second firing may be needed. Thats basically what i had to do on my first Ackley many year ago - i personaly wouldn't do another .. Good luck - stay safe ..
  11. Does anyone lube the trigger mech after this method?
  12. Np dodder , nice rifle Kadu , an ace lil caliber

  15. If you dont use the vld seater bit u could end up crushing the tips of your bullets slightly as they more pointier / longer etc . Iv know some people just strip there std seater and machine a deeper hole to allow the extra space needed for vlds - think this what your refer too ?
  16. Older thread, but just read the previous post - you are mistaken as iv never owned a S&B but iv had that before ppl thinking iv sold them something when its someone else on a different forum but same / similar name? atb Tim
  17. Not sure if its available, some of the old free calculator have long gone , i cant even remember the name of the 1 i used. Hornady one is still available i used a month back. atb
  18. A card with some details Wouldn't hurt , containing what species and type of control you cater for . Fully insured etc , email , mobile , eg: E.Fudd Wabbit season etc lol And knock on doors and ask . if its yes or maybe hand them a card. If they slam the door in your face, open letter box and say something like : Thanks for your time your a wonderful human being - then get yer coat - about turn n carry on to the next one. Don't wear cammo when visiting, a good appearance does help.
  19. Seriously?? I think your all missing the point- poi that is !
  20. Yeah i hear ya , its just i can't help thinking when i learnt to reload the most important thing was uniformity - and carefully with a dial you get them spot on . Use what you prefer and suits you - atb guys
  21. Here is picture , looks like in thousands , you won't break this its proper hard steel, not zink / alloy mixed type soft cheese. Once set up after a few minutes its feel and use is better by far than cheaper types
  22. lol idk why i just thought of this - - it is early and i can't sleep - - You know these antarctic workers / scientist etc ? There's a miniscule chance they may meet a polar bear, but they still prepare / carry
