  1. Yup, super performance all week. Consistent and a well deserved win.
  2. Very interesting and bizarre. I’ve shot well in excess of 5000 and not had one misfire.
  3. I don’t know how I missed this post Neil. I suggest you try Murom KVB223 primers. I changed over to them for my 47L and my ES dropped. I use them for all my SR cartridges now.
  4. It’s thanks to this thread that I discovered my Amazon account has been hacked. I went to log on to find the order for the calipers I mentioned so I could post it on here and couldn’t log on and a password reset email didn’t arrive. It took forever to actually get to speak to someone but, in short someone was using my account. I had to cancel my card and everything. Until it’s sorted my account is supposedly locked. I dread to think what would’ve happened if I’d waited until I next actually needed to order something.
  5. Neil, I borrowed my father-in-law’s Mitutoyu callipers to compare against the ones I bought from Amazon for £24. There’s no doubt the MIT is better quality and there is a couple of thousands difference in measurement but I wouldn’t pay the extra £100 for the Mitutoyu. The callipers I bought from Amazon auto turn off and are still on its original battery after nearly 12 months of regular use.
  6. I was just about to say that I’ll see you there this Sunday when you mentioned Saturday. The first thing worth mentioning is getting there. From your location you’ll arrive via the M42. Come off at J9 and Kingsbury is we’ll sign posted. At the second round take the third exit on the B4098. After you go under the narrow bridge there are two turnings to the left right next to each other. Take the second. Follow the lane and the car park and club lodges are just after the 600 yd firing point. As SMLE says, if you get they for 8 o’clock you won’t go wrong. Although I shoot with another club I have attended with ODRC several times and their range briefings can take place at the car park or at the 300 yd firing point. Whatever happens they will look after you . They’re a good crowd to shoot with. Like the others have stated, do not forget your FAC and SSC. You will definitely be asked to show them. Good luck and enjoy.
  7. Re the comments about Quickload N150 predictions, the N150 batches from 2018 are significantly different from previous years and this throws Quickload way out inasmuch that real MVs are much higher.
  8. You’re 100% correct on that. I’m still using the tin I bought at tge shooting show when it was at Newark. How long ago was that?
  9. Redding Imperial Sizing was for the outside and Redding dry lube (graphite powder) for inside the necks.
  10. Thanks Andrew,but I can’t achieve that from a humble FTR barrel.😀
  11. Me and my colleagues in a FTR team use Murom KVB 223 primers and have for a long time we’ve never experienced that problem and between us I estimate 10000 shots. The magnum primer isn’t hotter, it simply has a thicker cup. I am reliably informed that this is correct from a main importer who was told this directly by Murom.
  12. For the 47? RS52 or RS50. They are both close to Reloder 15 which was the go to powder for the 120 and 123 grain bullets.
  13. Thanks Ian. I omitted to mention that it’s a 308 bullet, not 7 mm. I’ll edit the post.
  14. Does anyone know the minimum recommended twist rate for the above bullet?
  15. I’ve recently acquired a very nice spotting scope. I’m looking for good stand for it, something like the Dolphin spotting scope stand. Has anyone got something handing around, say after an upgrade?
  16. What’s the batch number and production date please?
  17. That’s an interesting predictor. It was bang on my last 308 barrel.
  18. An F Open friend of mine shoots a 284 KMR and has the reamer. He started on a straight 284, went to Shehane and then KMR. If you pm me your contact details I’ll forward them to him. I’m sure he’ll give you all the information you need.
  19. Be mindful of the fact that if you decide to venture into F TR, as you intimated, you are limited to .223 and .308. Not many shoot the former these days, so you need a good 308 rig.
