  1. Really? That’s a bit of a vacuous statement. All they are asking is for you, the shooter, to confirm that you have followed safe reloading procedures. That is not an unreasonable thing to ask. If anyone on here has seen or completed the declaration you would not object to it. It’s no more onerous than signing on a range and providing your FAC number.
  2. As one of those involved in organising the Birmingham Bisley, there was some initial concern about the declaration, but it is nothing onerous and it does not ask for specifics. Therefore, any load data remains in the privy to the person signing the declaration. All it asks is that the shooter specifies which calibre is being used and which source the load data came from. For example, I stated .308 and the data source was Quickload and the Berger reloading manual.
  3. Due to literally zero use I’ve decided to sell my Accuracy International AW .308 rifle. They are currently £6,350 from a well known UK dealer and I’m letting this one go for £4,500 (price dropped from £4800). It comes with desert sand stock sides and a custom painted spare set. This is shown on the photo with the S&B scope for example purposes only. The actual scope fitted is a Nightforce NXS 8-32x56. This can be purchased with the rifle for £1100 complete with 30mm Tier One rings. I will sell the scope separately once the rifle is sold. Scope sold subject to the usual. Please pm me for more photos if you are genuinely interested. Tyre kickers need not apply.
  4. The scope is 7 years old but lightly used, and not at all for the past two years.
  5. Hi Mike, Sorry for the delay. I’m not interested in a swap. But thanks for the offer.
  6. Nightforce NF 8-32x56 Scope in excellent condition. £1100. Reduced to £980
  7. This thread is proving to be very interesting, especially meles meles light hearted technical explanations. Correct me if I’ve misunderstood the bones of this, but reading between the lines it seems the consensus is that fire cracking in the throat has no real bearing on accuracy or barrel longevity. If that’s the case, what does? A few of years ago I had a 1:12 twist barrel on my FTR rifle that was like a laser. I went the whole one season with a lot of competition successes. Then during a 300 yd comp at the Imperials the groups opened up wildly. What caused that?
  8. Sshh, there might be spies about 😇
  9. That’s because the option isn’t there anymore. There was an sales offshoot of the GBFCA Facebook for a while.
  10. Says he who........😁😁😁
  11. Catch, the M4 is murder on Friday’s, especially the return trip.
  12. I’ve just been told that Kingsbury is re-opening. Can any regular, pre CV19 restrictions, Kingsbury users confirm this?
  13. The Forster coax priming tool is the dogs bits. I have not had one single problem since buying mine. https://www.1967spud.com/shop/reloading/priming-tools/forster-coax-priming-tool/
  14. HPS Targetmaster. It’s well proven good ammunition and used by most TR clubs in competition.
  15. Are you with the Dorset’s on Sunday?
  16. Had you thought of using a front bag rider? HPS and Shooting Shed sell them.
  17. Re the quality, there is a video, published by Peterson, showing their manufacturing process. There is no doubt about the quality being top end.
  18. Like many others who’ve tried 308 Peterson brass they have lower H2O volume and despite being thicker the primer pockets open up much quicker than Lapua if running hot loads.
  19. As a regular N150 user I’m trying to PM you but your inbox is full.
  20. Another rule they haven’t a hope in hell of controlling.
  21. I remember a post you wrote a few years ago about the Scenar 167 and Viht N150 combination, which is the Viht accuracy load so I copied it in my AW. The jump is huge but it works “out of the box”. That’s all I use in it now. Up to 600 yards I’ve not found anything to better it.
  22. This is Brillo, our Airedale who sadly left us in October 2018. Some of you have met him. I’ll post a picture of Olive later.
