Woodlander
What would be a good starting point, or indeed sweet spot? Shooting 105 Amax Fed 105m Lapua brass thanks

Scotch_egg
I am going to be using N150 when my Varget stash is depleted. I much prefer N150 to the N140 when I was looking for an alternative to Varget in my other calibres .308/7-08/6.5CM and 6.5X47.

Thanks nick That’s really slow MV. For 30g Varget 26” barrel I’m getting 2900fps with 105 a-max
terryh
Think N150 is the powder in the Lapua factory 6.5x47 not tried it in my 47, running N140 under 130g Berger OTM’s , 36g gives just over 2800fps with low ES and SD ( but only 5 shot groups so the SD value’s a bit moot) looking at 4166 as the starting powder in a 6mm Dasher under 105 Berger Hybrids T
No i deer
I've seen Justin's br in action and I must say it's impressive and it's a sawn off 😁. I had a go on a 6xc yesterday at 1000yds and that too was really good, on the f class roundal the 0.5 minute vbull and 5's were no problem,115gr d tacs were sweet.recoiless compared to my f open 7mm saum canon 😂. Nick 53
6br 28" barrel. The MV was measured when shooting 1000 benchrest comp. Unfortunately work is taking over so Really no time for load development.

I would find it unbelievable that 31gr of N150 would only sling a 105gr bullet out of a 6br at just 2444fps. I use 30.1gr of N150 in a 20inch barrelled 6br and that sends them at 2740fps. baldie
The velocity measured on an electronic target, is the speed the bullet goes through the target at Nick. It will be somewhat faster at the sharp end.
Scotch_egg
I have just plugged in some data. To be at 2444fps at 1000 yards the MV needs to be >4500fps. Something is a miss.
Nick 53
Bloody hell if it's going that fast the barrel won't last that long. Think I will try to chronograph as soon as possible. Thanks nick
