srvet
Interesting question......., will keep an eye on this but achieving significant results beyond 'I have one and it shoots 0.0001 groups' may be challenging!

gunnery
What is the cost of a bergara? I believe there about £190 from foxy and they shoot very well since Ed Shillen got involved with the company and turned it around
Si-Snipe
I like to be sure that my rifles accuracy is repeatable. Important to do a few 4-5 shot groups at least.
Scotch_egg
The profiles and calibre were limited last time I looked. For an extra £50-60 lothar walther or the border archer barrels appeared a better choice.
Shuggy
Are the archer barrels available again?
Scotch_egg
Are the archer barrels available again? Mmm probably not. The lothars are used by accuracy international and not to be sniffed at.
NoEntry
I have one of the pre cambered "self fit" barrels on my Remy in 6.5 lap. it shoots much better than hethe original, Sub 1/2 min at 100 yds. I am well pleased with it. Mike
Jagged 77
Baldie chambered and fitted a .260 Bergara on a T3 for me. It was fussy to find a load for but once dialled in has been a consistent and accurate long range performer.
Danpd
I've fitted two and supplied one pre-fit..... They've all shot very well indeed. The nut system on the pre-fits is crap, it shot straight.
baldie
I'm using more and more of them as the border situation arose. These barrel are very good quality and shoot very well. This week, i,ve fitted a Bartlien in 260, a border in 223, a cut border in 7-08 and a Bergara in 7mm rem mag. The Bergara was by far the nicest barrel to chamber/machine. The steel is top quality and has no hard/soft spots. When the swarf comes off the reamer in ribbons, its good steel, and usually shoots well. Ronin
I fitted a couple when they first came into the country - didn't like em. Though the favourable comments now would appear they have sorted their QC. I may try another if asked for one.
tisme
I've got a Bergara on a .223 1-9 twist. It shoots really well loaded with 69rg MK, under 1/2 moa easy. Would buy another
Big Al
How are people finding the accuracy of these barrels compared to premium barrels? I believe you have shot this rifle Si, I bought it from Jonathan and it has a 1:9 Begara barrel that was fitted by Dave. Im still playing around with bullets and loads but it looks very promising, these were all 100yds. Sorry Im too tight to shoot 5 shot groups 40gr Hornady Vmax - N133 - Rem 7.5 55gr SBK - N133 - Rem 7.5, still need to fine tune it but number 2 looks promising. 55gr Hornady Vmax factory loads Im hopeful that there is still a bit more to come once I get the loads properly dialled in. Si-Snipe
Thanks for sharing those targets. Always good to see a few groups. Are those repeatable? Look good to me. Stable OCW too on the 55SBK target too.
Big Al
Yes, I would say they are repeatable Si, providing I do my bit. Im going to do some OCW stuff at longer range today with 55gr Vmax so as to try and fine tune things, I will let you see the results. What caliber are you considering? Barrelsniffer
Ive been using one on one of my tikkas for few yrs now and can not fault it, does what its suppose too. Its only 3 shots as thats all i do when i take the rifle out after i land in uk after 2 months away, quick test shoot to make sure its still grouping before using on vermin, and is repeatable and consistent. Tuck
Si is this barrel for your 20prac? I didn't know begera did 20 cal barrels? Could be very interested in one myself!
Si-Snipe
U fortunately they don't. I'm struggling to get 20 cal barrel. My local smith isn't keen on LW chambering so I'm very restricted.
matchking
Callum will most prob have barrels about him. Jackson rifles may have some Kriegers about them still. 20 Cal surely you should be going bigger not smaller? Cheers Sean
