Missed
I would suggest that sticking ones faith all over material has certain implications these days; especially so with some of our more fundamentalist cousins across the pond. Far better to leave well alone and leave the religious stuff specifically to those who wish to read such to religious sites. A great many of us are hugely put off by religion of all flavours! achosenman
His definition of long range was a coke tin at 1030 metres, I don't think I could see that through a 16x scope.(don't think I could hit it if I could see it) From the comment of the spotter they were all surprised when he hit the coke can. Who is he, and why do they pretend to be a sniper pair? I agree with BD on this, I stopped watching after 10 minutes. ATB
Missed
I think I might find him a bit irritating to share an OP with. TBH I cannot see many wishing to spend time getting to an OP with him never mind spending time in position.
brown dog
A great many of us are hugely put off by religion of all flavours! For me the issue is one of Fundamentalism, not Faith. I wonder if, had the opening piece of religious text been the Quranic Sword verses and the presenter have been presenting all the same info in a dish-dash, some may view the piece differently? Fundamentalism (AKA Extremism) is the root of all the World's troubles; regardless of the 'flavour'. Many of us have seen what Fundamentalism delivers at first hand - even (re-labelled) at home in NI; and I'm afraid that whatever it's flavour it's not to my taste. Opening with a killing Psalm just jars me in the same way rhetoric from any other fundamentalist would. That's all
Deserttech Europe
BD, point taken, but I would argue that if you can persevere past this then there is useful info on these videos. I have over the years put up with a lot of that which promotes growth and vigour from different people but if I wanted the knowledge I would suffer it... dylan5588
If he got his hair cut, spoke with an English accent, and didn't try to act like a sniper, would that make him better qualified to place informative videos on utube? He can shoot a bit! I don't suppose he considers himself an "expert" he is probably just trying to pass on some of his shooting techniques and knowledge, to the likes of myself, who can use all the help we can get!!!!!!! Tiff
I'm up for it. Tiff, put another coke can out for me as well I'll drop in at Tesco's and pick some up in the morning - will be on my way up there to start setting up (I really miss long summer days...). They will be budget own brand ones mind, just in case you do connect! Unfortunately no video's are allowed on location, but I'm sure we'll hear all about it if anyone does hit it... tackb
I'm sure I've got some wobbly footage taken with an I phone through my leupold spotter somewhere of me hitting a coke tin at 1250 yds at barton rd with my 300rum ! i'm an average shot and I managed it so it's not impossible? achosenman
As its a video how do you know it was a 'first' shot with no previous sighters? John are you suggesting that what we see on the YouTube clip might not be what happened on the day? OMG the horror...if I can't trust a You Tube video what's the point of it all? Looks like I've picked the wrong day to stop self harming...
tisme
I don't know but that's the point of his videos, first shot hits. Most of us could do it with enough shots, whats the point in that.

If it's posted by the You Tube star, despite what they may claim, it's to make them look good. ATB
gazzar15
I suppose it is similar in context to a cooking programme and the old adage,'' here is one I prepared earlier ''? The narrative explains how to achieve the first shot strike using a precise methodology. That it won't in all honesty work in every instance is simply the way it is for any number of reasons. If you could pull your rifle out of the bag and put 10 rounds into a v bull every time at 1000 yds it would make it all very boring would it not? As with a lot of available information I take what I wish/need from these videos which have some good content and don't use what I consider superfluous. In respect of the psalm I probably sit in the same camp as BD in that all this religious stuff turns me right off. That said if I thought it would enable me to score possibles at a 1000 yds + all the time I will see you in Church on Sunday!
tackb
I'll be impressed if anyone can do it first shot, as the video. i'm afraid I cant and anyone that can is extremely lucky ! just imagine the variables? I doubt you could consistently repeat it in a windless tunnel due to slight elevation errors from even the best ammo?

1066
Of course it could be that this guy has sussed out what Youtubers want to watch and has slanted his videos accordingly. Many of his 200 odd videos have had very few views but some have racked up quite a number. He has 20,000 subscribers and all his videos carry adverts, this must bring in several hundred dollars a month and maybe a lot more, maybe his market research shows that a quote from the bible equals an extra $50 a month.
