walkabout
Nice looking rifle. I want to know more about the GAP trigger? I got the action from "TerryH" it was on his old .308 I got from him, in fact the action and trigger is the only thing I got left from the rifle! Very nice trigger, crisp and strong not like a jewell. Mark

walkabout
Went to the range yesterday with the rifle for the first time. Just 100 yards to break in the barrel and tighten the thing up. Quite pleased really, tried 6 different loads, the Varget and Reloader 15 seemed the best. The Reloader 15 the better. Chris-NZ
I wouldn't be so quick to assume the Varget was inferior to the RL15 as your sample size is extremely small. That apparent flyer in the 38.2 group may not be representative for example. I'd be doing a bit more testing before being certain of the outcome but either way, you've got a shooter there Chris-NZ

I did batches of 25, the Varget ones were just one of many. But I agree, I am not in any hurry to get the right load so will try all the best loads again. Dooty
Nice looking rig. Where did you get the XLR stock from? Believe they do them for the Savage but can only seem to find them from the US and have heard posting them over can be awkward, not from a import point of view, just awkward to get them to ship them over.
