gun nut
This is a .270win stalking rifle that Baldie rebarrelled for me just after Christmas. It's a Bergarra fluted stainless 1 in 10 twist barrel which is about the same profile as a standard Remmy 700 sporter barrel. It's a standard Remmy 700 LA in a modified Bell and Carlson medallist mountain rifle stock, remmy trigger "tuned" a bit. Hardy gen3 mod and Swarovski Z5 3.5-18X44 BT, whole outfit weights a shade over 9lb loaded with bolt in. Dave ceracoated the barrel/action in FDE, I widened the barrel channel and bedded the standard stock, put a raised comb on it and gave it the funky paint job. 100m target, 5 shots, high first shot due to a cleaned barrel, wind gusting 8-20mph L-R 5 shots at 300m, 5" shoot'n'see Thanks for a great build Dave, does exactly what I asked you for, ie first round DRT kills on deer out to 300m Mike

She's now fully dressed with an Atlas bipod, MarchX 5-50x56, and a OLC moderator. Calibre is .22BR

nowler
PRS single-shot rimrock action, shillen 18.5" barrel chambered in 6mm PPC. .262 neck, wildcat moderator. Laminated walnut shehane st1000 thumbhole stock that i modified a lot. it shoots 65gr BIB's in the mid .1's off the bipod on a calm day when i do my bit. this is my favourite rifle. Barnard S action single shot, kreiger 24" barrel chambered in 6.5-284. .292 neck, wildcat moderator again. Laminated shehane st1000 thumbhole stock that i modified again. throated for and shoots 140gr amax's. shoots in the .2's and .3's happily but now i'm running out of 4350, we'll see how it gets on with n165.... might sell it sometime in the near future to fund another smaller cal project. Brummy Mark
McMillan A3-5 adjustable, Remmy 700, action 223, Lilja Barrel 3 groove 1:7 twist at 22.5" throated for 90gr VLD. Best groups with this one day were one ragged hole/cloverleaf with 75gr amax, 90gr VLD at less than 1/2"(outside to outside) at moment , reckon I can shrink that with a bit more load development. Makes me smile every time I put my check on the stock a pleasure to shoot.
