  1. Hello all I am looking to glass bed my Sabatti 308 into a plastic stock and would like to take advantage of your knowledge eg best kit to get and best method. Cheers Mark
  2. I have the compact jet z on my 308. It works a treat and it's very solidly built
  3. That's a lot of cash for something that's made from pressed steel.
  4. Yes it could scratch an itch depending on price
  5. The CZ VZ61 looks unusual although a bit heath robinson made from tin kind of way
  6. It is rather an aquired taste😊 shame we can't have the 45acp, does anyone know if the walther mp5 is a solid barrel or a skinny one in a liner.
  7. I haven't looked at that one yet, did it drop straight in or did you need to do some work on it.
  8. I agree what you are saying but I am testing ammo not my shooting ability unfortunately I don't have a proper rest to put the rifle in to take the shooter error out of the equation once I have finished the ammo testing and found what works best it will be purely my fault if it all goes wrong which it probably will. But I will still put it in a oryx chassis when I get the funds
  9. What about the kriss vector with the 12 inch barrel
  10. I only exclude the ones I know were my doing when ammo testing, when that is sorted they all get counted. The frustration of the. 22 rimfire ammo can drive you mad😨
  11. Did some more ammo testing at the weekend with the T1X at 50m any crossed out shots were my doing. Not sure what happened to the sk match its normally better than that.
  12. I fitted a safe for someone in a new build which was plasterboard dot and dab onto block work so there was a bit of a gap between the block and plasterboard so I cut away the plasterboard so the safe was against the block then used long rawl bolts to get a good purchase onto the block. As said before condensation in a garage won't do your firearms any favours
  13. There are some strange laws on both sides of the pond
  14. The difference in your gsg and mine is I have a 12 inch barrel and a steel rod hanging off the grip to make it legal over here, it has to be 24 inches overall lengh
  15. I'm probably my own worst enemy as well especially with a new rifle that I am trying to find the right ammo for. I will try to find some biathlon and r50 to see what difference it makes. On the plus side I do love shooting. 22lr at 100 yards it's great fun and no reloading as with my .308. Sometimes I shoot my gsg 1911 at 100 off hand and even hit the target most of the time 😊 Cheers Mark
  16. Shooting off bipod at the front and my hand /fist under the button. Forgot to say there was a slight breeze 3/5 mph. I haven't found any biathlon in the area but I do have access to eley force, club and match that I haven't tried yet. It will be interesting to see if removing the spacer in the barrel channel will make a difference. More to come next time I take it out.
  17. Took the Tikka T1x out to 100 yards this morning using sk standard and match, groups opened up a bit from 50 yard groups so I may need more speed at this range. The 2 best groups are match. Next step is removing the spacer block from the stock then test again. Finally a Oryx chassis lined up as my birthday present
  18. That's a beautiful bit of machining.
  19. I use the small moleskine notebooks, you can normally find them on offer somewhere
  20. Thank you I shall take a look the Accurizer kit looks promising
  21. First outing for my Tikka T1x, I have never owned a .22 bolt rifle before so have nothing to compare it to but I must say I am impressed, lovely smooth bolt and I adjusted the trigger down so it not too light but just right. Shooting off a bipod with SK standard did well and SK Match was better still 7 shot group 50 yards match 5 shot group match at 50 yards the flyer was some pillock behind me shouting Top target, can't remember how many but it was SK standard , bottom is 20 rounds SK Match. So happy with that for the first go. At some point I might try a MDT Oryx chassis or GRS bravo if anyone has any experience with these or something else under £500 would love to hear your thoughts.
  22. Now that's a good looking lbp well worth the modification. How much did it cost
  23. Hello all I must have had my 1911 for at least 5 years now so thought it was time I did some accuracy up grades as the barrel bushing looks a bit sloppy now, so can anyone recommend after market parts that are available and if they had much affect on the accuracy. Cheers Mark
  24. I have been looking at the T1X myself and doing a fair bit of research, check out youtube there is loads of reviews and quite a few people in the states have put them in Oryx chassis and changed the barrels although find the right ammo and the stock gun can be sub moa Even as stock it appears to be a popular rifle
