  1. Not specifically made for your action but Dolphin Guns do a chassis for their .22 CZ’s. Try giving them a call to see if they could bed your section into one of their stocks.
  2. The foresight blade is designed to me moved left and right of centre. Whilst not flush might not appear pleasing to the eye it might solve your shooting left dilemma. Adjust the foresight into the error, rear sight out. Try getting someone else to shoot it to confirm or eliminate user error. Have you eliminated bent barrel, over/under turned barrel, damaged front sight, damaged rear sight and very importantly and probably the cause, the bedding?
  3. To late to the party but always worth a look. Dolphin guns have a 457 in one of their own stocks. https://www.dolphinguncompany.co.uk/rifle-design-builds/smallbore-elr-rifles/
  4. Weight is an issue with bench rest. A Light Varmint (LV) class rifle can weigh no more than 10.5lbs (4.762kg) and a Heavy Varmint (HV) class rifle no more than 15lbs (6.803kg). The barrel will be the bulk of the rifles weight. The weight includes sights/tuners and anything else attached to the rifle. However even the LV category is easily achieved with selective scope choice and custom made stocks. Gary Cane makes some super light bench rest stocks. If you are not going to compete then weight is totally irrelevant.

  7. Not just the shooting world, come across it with several smaller charities.
  8. Superb. You set a high bar, most people would be happy with that at 50m. You've obviously mastered the very dark art of wind reading.
  9. Excellent shooting, be interested in the set up, ammo etc.

  12. Terry In pretty much the same position and also found it confusing. Three different sets of rules just to confuse everybody, the NSRA being the most different. Bench rest UK conform to THE WORLD & RIMFIRE & AIR RIFLE BENCHREST RULES 2013-2021. http://www.wrabf.com UKBR 22 and Bench rest UK shoot very similar targets and have same categories for rifles I.e. sporter, LV, & HV. Major difference is UKBR sporter must be designed to be shoulder fired and have scope of max x12 magnification whereas Bench rest UK, any rifle under the weight limit, max x6.5 mag on scope. There are of course other subtle differences. Can also use rear rest which you cannot in NSRA. NSRA has different rules for front rests as well. Aaargh. The NSRA have published clarification to their bench rest rules, though theses need to be read in conjunction with the full rules. https://www.nsra.co.uk/index.php/home/downloads/category/82-rules?download=1608:clarification-of-benchrest-rules
  13. Only at 25m so nothing spectacular, factory standard Sako Quad Varmint off a bipod. Eley Tenex. X6 mag on scope. 250 20X. 6B82756B-8440-45D1-A9AD-6758337C3174.heic
  14. Tried one of the second ones, effectively a wooden block. The surface finish was awful and certainly not conducive to being used for BR shooting. Returned for refund.
  15. I'd be really chuffed with the second target, interesting to know what ammo you used.
  16. Hi Terry I have also found the various rules, for effectively what is the same discipline, different in lots of respects such as rifle build, scope magnification, rest specifications and so on. A number of BR shooters I know just pick and stick with one governing bodies rules, makes life a lot simpler. Take care.
  17. Is it marked DP or EY anywhere? Apart from the wrist are there any stars stamped on it?
  18. UKBR22 Rules: Scoring Plugs All shots which cannot be scored by visual scoring will be checked by a certified .22 plug and marked on the target with a “P” to indicate. Benchrest UK rules: SCORING BEST EDGE SCORING WILL BE USED IN SCORING BENCHREST UK TARGETS ALL SHOTS WHICH CANNOT BE SCORED BY VISUAL SCORING WILL BE CHECKED USING A CERTIFIED .22 PLUG AND THE TARGET WILL BE MARKED WITH A P TO INDICATE THIS (NSRA scoring plugs https://www.nsrashop.co.uk/collections/scoring)
